Yikes! Mom trouble...

I am so mad at my mom!!!! She is like.. really making me not want to go on the Disney Cruise and stuff. She was like trying to get me to wear stuff that I wouldnt normally wear because she said she wanted me to look normal... I am like mom, I look fine! And why do I have to wear whatever everyone else is wearing?! I mean, I don't like wearing shorts and she is like no one is going to be wearing pants on the cruise and I am like well no one will care what I am wearing they will be too busy relaxing... and I personally can't relax unless I am comfortable with what I am wearing! And she won't let me wear some of my other clothes... so now I have like nothing to wear and stuff... I mean she tells me for like 10 years to be myself and not care what other people think about me and then goes and says I need to wear something different to look "normal" for the cruise!! Yikes!!

Does anyone else have these kinds of problems with there parents or is it just me? LoL....

well, you do have to dress nice for the dining room dinners. Tell her that you'll look "normal" for dinner.

as for shorts, just wear your swim suit the entire day, everybody else is, which should make your mom happy.

also, pack your own stuff. That way, you wear what you want to wear.

Yea I was pretty much going to do that LOL... and I did tell her I would dress nice for dinner... so maybe I am ok now LOL...

if you are comfortable wearing pants when its hot outside, then do it!!! i wouldn't be, but i live in shorts. Hey its your vacation too, your wearing the clothes, not your mom. If your mom doesn't like it, she doesn't have to look at you all day, untill dinner or maybe not even then!

I feel for you...my mom isn't that bad but she like takes me out shopping and stuff and she's like ok we have to find you a nice prom dress for the cruise.....I absolutely hate fancy dresses...and she made me by the big purple thing...it's a pretty dress if I was going to a prom...but I'm not! Besides that she doesn't really tell me what I have to wear...but she has a list of every day were on the cruise and what i am wearing......

my mom always does that...cuz all i ever wear is t shirts..she trys to get me to wear sweaters im ike ick mom...no way! lol..cant live w/o my tee's.

lol for me it is like "Maggie why dont you go put on longer shorts/skirts? or go cover up with a jacket" im like NOPE!! hehe if i got it im gonna flaunt it lol. Unless it is REALLY cold, then its time to pull out the pants hehe

YES LOL or i leave the house with a sweat shirt on and then when i am out of sight i rip that thing off and i am like heheheh suckers!

Well what I wear is like shirts that say stuff like "It's funny untill somone gets hurt... then it's hillarious" and "Don't label me" and I wear like pants that are like punkish and like black and stuff and so my mom is like... why can't you just wear shorts with a nice t-shirt like a normal teenager?!? yikes! being normal is not something I wanna hear...

I am bringing my clothes whether she likes it or not!!! LOL...

Yes.. parents suck sometimes!!! LOL...
Ever notice how we all vowel not to treat our children the same way whenever our parents do something wrong LOL... well i am not going to try and make my children wear stuff they dont want to...

yeah, i've always voweled not to do that to my kids. The whole "and sometimes 'y' thing really messes them up" .

Then again, there's is the mother's curse. "I hope, that when you have children, that they act exactly as you did." This curse works.

i mean what is wearing something "normal" anyway....normal is whatever u like....everyone has there own style so really there isnt really anything "normal"

I would love for my kids to grow up and be just like me! they would have soo much fun! hehe, plus i would know what kind of sneaky tricks they would try to pull off im the master at those!
