Yikes, I'm off to Mexico next week!!

I can hardly believe it yet, but DD and I are off to Mexico next Sunday!

My cousin is getting married over there, but because we have our Florida wedding to pay for later in the year, we never really contemplated going - it was £6k for the 3 of us and we couldn't justify it.

Anyway....after an awful saga with my cousin's dress last week (long story), and us having to buy her a brand new wedding dress at the same time as I picked up my bridesmaids dresses, I suddenly realised what I was missing out on.

I was looking tentatively yesterday and discovered DD and I can fly over + stay at the same 5* resort they are staying at for a much more reasonable £1600. I've uhhmed and ahhhed all night, and just bit the bullet and booked it. That's what Visa cards are for, and I should get a work bonus soon so that will cover it!

I can't believe we are going. DD is going to be thrilled - I can't wait to tell her.

It's flying with First Choice - does anyone have any experience of them? We have flown scheduled for years now, and not really sure what to expect

I flew to Cancun with First Choice 4 years ago and they were fine. Where abouts are you staying in Mexico?

We're staying at the Iberostar Paraiso Lindo, which is in Riviera Maya - we fly to Cancun and then it's about 30 - 50 minutes transfer as I understand?

I've never been to Mexico, so excited about going somewhere different, but I'm a bit of a holiday panicker, so my anxiety levels are sky high right now!

Fantastic, I'm sure you'll both have a great time.

We flew First choice to the Carribean last year and they were great although we did upgrade to the Premier Class, excellent service with them.

You will love it there, we did not stay at that hotel but we were in Riviera Maya. You can walk to Playa De Carmen and watch the dolphins.
