yikes!! I went to the Dr today

for this cold that I've had for almost 2 weeks. It turned into this awful cough. And so the Dr tells me I have pneumonia!!! OMIGOD - I never had pneumonia!! I don't feel all that bad - I just have these coughing fits throughout the day!!! So he put me on some antibiotics and I begged for some strong cough medicine for bedtime. Which he is usually against, but he saw how tired I am from not sleeping so he gave me some cough medicine with codine!!! I should sleep well tonight LOL!!!!

I hope I stop coughing soon!

I had walking pneumonia right before student teaching. I sure hope you start feeling better soon! Beware.....codiene sometimes can "wire" people. I can take it at times and it knocks me out and at other times it does the opposite

Sure hope you get some rest and the coughng stops ASAP

Glad you went to the doctor. Hope the meds knock it out real fast.

I'm not sure how it is in other states, but around here you just have to ask the pharmacy for the cough medicine with codiene and you don't have to have a prescription. But you do have to sign that you got it so the state can keep tabs on who gets it and how often.

So I guess you can't be running around mowing any time soon now!

Awww, Tony...

I know it sounds nasty but take it from one whose been there... on a normally healthy person, pneumonia is not much worse than a BAD cold! In fact, it's somehow BETTER, at least there IS a cure for it!!

I had it twice, both times during real bad times of stress. Try to get LOTS of rest and let the meds kill it. You'll be fine.

Pneumonia is nothing to play with. Be sure you get plenty of rest. I'm glad you went to the dr. Hopefully the med will have you sleeping good tonight. Feel better soon!!
