yikes! 55 degrees??

My DH and I will be on our way to sunny Ca for the first time on March 18th. I have been viewing the weather and please say it isnt so, is it really only in the 50's and 60's? I am coming from very very cold NY and was hoping for at least 70's. Do you think it will warm up by mid March and is this weather usual for this time of year?
Well, I will pack shorts, and pants and a winter jacket

Hey, better than a sudden heat wave! During the day it will be cool, but nice... Most of my friends that come out from the east coast say that the 50's is spring weather and sport their shorts and a sweatshirt....At night it can get darn right cold, so break out the heavy coat and grab some cocoa..

So you're coming out our way--cool! (Yeah, it IS cool--literally!)

It's been unseasonable, but I think you'll feel like you've hit the tropics--as long as it's not raining. Those 60-something days in DL are the best, because you don't get hot. Bring some rain ponchos for the wet rides, and you'll be fine.

Keep checking this website. My husband is in the field of environmental emergencies so they are on top of the weather at all times. We will be there on the 12-16 and it shows 80's as the high's and low 50's for the lows. Woohoo!!!

My good friends were there about 8 days ago and it was in the 80s! I'll keep my fingers crossed for warm, sunny weather (though we need the rain here in CA)!

Well this time of year what happens is, it rains or snows in the mountains, and it clears up and it gets brite,sunny and COLD. YES it can be that cold especially if it's windy. If there is no cloud cover, then there is nothing to trap the heat so it's COLD! BRRRRRRRRRR
