Will the Yeti get back to "A" mode? Unfortunately, I will have to say no. Everything I have read has indicated Everest would need some lengthy downtime to fix the Yeti and I do not see this happening until we get some more attractions in Animal Kingdom. Closing Everest would kill attendance there and Disney cannot afford that in 2009.
Yeti AA = Not Working/B-mode
but worst is...
Cloud Effect = WORKING??? or not?
Station Steam = Not Working
Waterfall A = Working
Waterfall B = Not Working
Bird on a Stick = Not Working
Cave Mist = Not Working
Projection = Working

She was sure it was alive and touched her head! Maybe it's just because I know Disney can do better, but I'd rather they shut down the ride for a long time than allow it to run on poor show conditions...
It's like Haunted Mansion without Madame Leota, or Pirates without the redhead to me. Disney can do better than let things run down, but they choose not to. That just disappoints me.
Maybe as frequent visitors to WDW only, many of you see it through rose-colored glasses, but compared to the other Disney parks/resorts, WDW is far behind in upkeep, rides, and showmanship.
I saw the Yeti in A mode last June, probably in it's last weeks. It makes me upset that the climax of the ride is no longer the superior figure it should be.

Working/not?
honestly, you go by so quick you cant tell if theres anything wrong with the yeti or not.
although ive never seen it when he moved it still looked pretty sweet last week when i was there.
More than one effect is missing. How about the big white owl that used to raise up at the end of the first forward moving portion of the ride, where the tracks are yanked up (just before you start to go backwards)? Sorry, but I miss that white owl.I heard one of the problems with fixing the yeti is that the company that made her is now out of business.
