Yet another WOC question/opinions needed

We'll be in DLR 11/7-11/11. Trying to decide if we're doing a WOC preferred seating dinner package. 2 adults 2 kids.
With all of the construction at DCA, has it still been super crowded at WOC? Are the viewing areas more limited with the construction?
Are there fewer showings? (DL Calendar is not updated with that week yet)

Last time we were there, WOC was still under construction so we've never seen it. It was literally a hole in the ground with pipes sticking out. And since we probably won't get to see any fireworks, (assuming based on off-peak time) I definitely don't want to miss WOC.

It's a preferred viewing area, rather than seating.

If your kids can stay awake, I would try for the second show. There seems to be less of a crowd with the second show.

First time I saw WOC, I got the picnic package for the first show. We arrived 30 minutes before the time they said to come (which was an hour before the show), was herded around, and finally got a spot. Sat down and then had to stand up for the pre-show and the WOC. VERY long and painful standing (after walking around the parks all day).

Second time I saw WOC, I got the preferred viewing with Wine Country Trattoria for the second show. Went to the waiting area and was escorted past all the other guests (other than those in the same waiting area for the preferred viewing) and got a front viewing area. Waited about 10-15 minutes before being escorted over.

WOC is not affected by the construction. And it is still crowded. But not as much at the secoind show when two shows are scheduled.

Thank you. Not sure if we'll make the 2nd show but we'll definitely try. We're coming in from the East Coast, and last trip out there anything past 8:30 proved to be a bit of a challenge lol! But on a positive note, we were at the parks when they first opened every day. LOL!

Just curious are you from New Jersey?

I would do like Starry Solo's second time. I also did the picnic meal when we went and it was a horriable cold fried chicken meal. We also had to wait about 45 minutes and that is a long time for kids to stand let alone us adults. I did get a good viewing of the show, but when I go back again I will do one of the TS dining packages as the food was nasty and I just threw it away and chalked it up as the cost to see the show.

It's all about the MAGICAL experience...

Just curious are you from New Jersey?

NY actually, but I know that all of NJ schools are closed for a teachers convention that week. Flights to FL (or anywhere south) are horribly expensive leaving from anywhere in the NY metro area ...the airlines price it as if it were a holiday.

Our schools are closed for Election Day and Veterans Day, which unfortunately falls in that same week.
