We have yet to try either Ohana or Chef Mickey's for breakfast, so I'm looking for opinions. Last year, we did Donald's Safari Breakfast (loved it), Crystal Palace (loved it), and Hollywood & Dine (didn't love it). I think it would be fun to see Stitch, who we didn't meet last year, but it seems that CM's is one of those mecca kind of places that some people view as a must-do. How would you rate the food at each place? The interaction?

Thoughts? TIA! :goodvibes

We haven't tried CM, but we do love 'Ohana's character breakfast! The family style food is great and you don't have to worry about missing a character while you're at the buffet. The food is really good, hot and fresh. It's mickey waffles, potatoes, scrambled eggs, fresh fruit, pineapple bread, sausage, and bacon. The juice is also delicious. The name escapes me right now. We love visiting the Poly and find the service to be great. My DS loves the parade and the character interaction is fun. We go every trip!

We have done both! CM's breakfast is buffet and Ohana is family style, brought to your table. For us, score one point for Ohana. The food was great. Some of the "usual"--- scrambled eggs, bacon... but then some of the breakfast bread they serve..with the pineapple..mmmm!!! CM's food was good too. More of a variety. The breakfast pizzas were fun and yummy. They have everything...good if you have any picky eaters or BIG eaters. The character experience is a little different at CM and Ohana. Stitch at Ohana is really funny..in a gross way. He pretended to pick his nose and wipe a booger on my daughters autograph book. Lilo was cute and funny too. She kept touching my daughters' hair. I think Pluto was there. I can't remember who else.... CM has Mickey, Minnie, Donald, Goofy, Pluto. They all came to our table, took a quick picture, maybe interacted for a quick moment, and had to move on. Anyway...you really can't go wrong at either place!!! Have FUN!!!!

We loved them both and would go to Chef Mickeys because of the variety of food. Ohana was killer though and we were able to order a pressed pot of coffee that was great with the fresh pineapple and cinnamon raisin rolls

Chef Mickeys we love. Either for breakfast or dinner. The atmosphere you can't beat for the Disney feeling.

I would go with Chef Mickey's because it's got a great atmosphere, everyone seems to think their breakfast items are very good and they also have the fab 5 Disney characters.

I'd have to go 'Ohana. Character interaction is way better than CM and if you are good with the food (basic eggs, bacon, potatoes) then it's better. The pineapple bread is great.

These are two of our favorite breakfast adrs.

Ohana: relaxed atmosphere with polynesian feel, good food which is served but limited menu, great character interaction: Stitch & Pluto are hilarious!

CM: upbeat/energetic atmosphere, standard breakfast buffet which is good & has nice selection, can't go wrong w/the Fab 5: Mickey, Minnie, Pluto, Goofy, Donald

You can't go wrong with choosing either one or you can do what we do - do both!

We do both as well. CM has great Disney magic, and 'Ohana has fabulous food and good character interaction. It's also nice at 'Ohana to not have to worry about being up getting food when the characters come around...it's brought to your table family style. :goodvibes

we don't think you could go wrong with either restaurant really.... they both have great foods for breakfast and the characters at both are a lot of FUN!!!
my son has a blast at both. at CM's he loves waving the napkin but at O'hana's he loves shaking the miracka(sp) :confused3 at O'hana's...
if you want to see lilo and stitch, it is a great breakfast to do it at. as some previous posts sayed, if you want to see the fab 5 of wdw, CM's is the place to go.... either way, it is great fun and lots of yummy food
