Yet another veggie at Ohana's question

My group of 4 adults and 2 children would love to try Ohanas on our next trip. However, I am the lone non-meat eater (although I do eat fish) of the group. I've read several reports where the chef has prepared tofu dishes for vegetarians but I really don't like tofu. Has anyone had any non-tofu dishes prepared for them at Ohana's. If it wasn't so expensive I wouldn't mind munching on salad and bread!

Well, it seems the tofu dish is the standard go to meal for vegetarian. If you are not a fan of tofu, I suggest you call the restaurant itself at least 3 days prior to your visit and request to speak to a chef. Explain to them what you do and do not eat and ask what they can do for you. That way it is not a surprise as to what your meal will be when you arrive at the restaurant.

My friend loves Ohana for the vegetarian meal. He loves tofu but also said that he had a great assortment of veggies too. Later tonight I will ask him what he got and also may see if he has food porn for you!!!

I wouldn't call myself a strict vegetarian. But I just don't care to eat meat. This is what I have been eating the past few times I go to Ohana. The salad with dressing is good. Broccoli with peanut sauce (yummy). Grilled shrimp (delicious). Plus a bit of bread pudding is more than enough to get me stuffed and have an excellent meal!

The results are in. He ate salad, noodles, tofu, steamed veggies and of course their amazing dessert! He did say that if you call in a few days beforehand, you can discuss what you would like to eat (non-tofu) and they'll take care of your desires...but only with food!

The shrimp is amazing (and the only protein my son will eat at O'hana's). Through we affectionately call O'Hana's the "meat-on-a-stick place", I would be happy with shrimp only!
