Yet another Universal vs Disney thread...

why can't we all just get along.

Really I generally do not care anymore (or any less for that matter). If they want to to Mouse-Land and not to Dr Phillips-Land so be it and the surplus population of Universal will be depleted and it will be good as lines will be shorter.

ok maybe some problems with the thread

Universal is not Disney? Yup - its better but they will never believe it. Disney is not Universal either.

my favorite - someone wrote:

Okay, from what I'm hearing so far, Universal is a glorified amusement park with some fun extras....but no atmosphere.
--------------------------
That is so misinformed and one sided.

Very sad.

I feel like we are just the "cool kids" over here and they are playing dungeons and dragons on saturday night.:lmao:

You know, I have no problem with people preferring one park over another but to say that Universal/IOA are just glorified amusement parks with no theming is just flat out misinformation. Hope the pictures helped.

Haha. Seems like lots of people are allowing themselves to be adventurous but some just wanna stay in on Saturday night.

I also do not think you can completely do both parks in one day. On Thursday we did most of the major attractions in 8 hours. We had lots left to see the next day.

Let's be fair, as most WDW vs. US/IOA threads go, this one is fairly tame. There are a few errors but for the most part, the comments have been as close as you will ever get for a thread on that side of the boards.

Yeah, I posted too. It's the same thing I've been saying all along.
Disney fans are brainwashed to have this extreme allegiance. 99% of Disney fans who want to try Universal attempt to visit both parks in ONE day. And I'm sure most of them arrive at 11am, the absolute worst time to show up.

How about if I go over to the Disney board and say, "Hi everyone, I'm staying onsite at Universal, but want to try Disney for ONE day. Do you think I can visit Epcot and the MK in ONE day?"

Go for it Robvia. I think it would be an "interesting" thread to say the least.

I have not read that thread but drove right past it. we will be doing us/ioa as first timers and am soooooo looking forward to it.
how could anyone say one is better than the other?
i thought they all had great things to offer before we went to dw last year as first timer for me....and knew right away wanted to do us/ioa this year. 121 days...not that i am counting.
it took 2 days to do mk, and stillmissed some stuff and only saw half of epcot....

i say go for it robvia.:surfweb:

:rotfl2: oh...please post.....

I give it 'till noon 'till it meets it's demise.:rotfl2:

 Prediction for next thread:

" Why isn't Universal more like Walt Disney World?"

i'm tellin' ya Janet...wait'll my vacation.... :stir:

What I love is when they start attacking the employees.

I think its horrible to knock the TM's and it makes NO sense since many of them have worked for both parks or did at one time or another.

I don't get why people feel the need to point out 'Universal just isn't Disney'...

Well of course it isn't - otherwise they would have called it Disney.

This is going to be my first time to WDW, US & IOA in August and I am sooo excited to do all. I just love all things Disney and DLRP, but me and BF are big rollercoaster freaks and we can't wait to do US/IOA - next time we go we'll definately do an onsite stay. We are doing US & IOA over 4 days.
