Leaving in two weeks. Have a 4 year old DD who definately needs a stroller, and have a 7.5 year old DD. Do I take the stroller from home (we're driving) and let the 7 year old walk, or do I rent a double stroller at the parks so they can both ride. If the 7 year old wants to walk, she can.

The 4 year old won't need a stroller anywhere but the parks. Don't need one for the resort, etc.

Please help.

Having recently visited wdw with a 4 yr old and his stroller. I say rent it there. Everytime we got on transportation it took three of us to unload it. One to get him, one to get the stuff out of the stroller and one to fold it. Then trying to keep it out of the way of other guest on the monorail and bus ughh. We will never do this again. My advice rent it when you get there.

My husband and I have been discussing this lately too. We will be going in Sept. with our son who will be 8 months old then.

I always swore on our other trips that we would not be the couple lugging the huge stroller on the bus.

I say rent. Not only for the convience of it but for both your daughters. I know the 7 year old is perfectly capable of walking but I saw so many older kids napping and riding in the strollers looking so comfortable. You are giving her a place to rest and a good seat for parades and such. Also in the heavier crowds you won't have to worry about hanging on to her. Just have her sit in the stroller with her sister and you know they are both safe as you manuever through.

Good luck and have a great trip!

Great advice which I'll take. I'll rent the double stroller at the parks. What is the procedure if you ride the train at MK? Do you abandon your stroller and get a new one somewhere else or do you ride the train all the way around and collect your stroller? We will decorate our stroller I suppose with some sort of bandana to mark it.

Is there any storage on the rental strollers for our backpack, camera etc?

Thanks for your help.

Allie

If a seven year old is that tired she has to ride in a stroller I say go to the hotel and rest. IMHO
