Yet another split stay question

We got a last minute deal on DVC points for Saratoga less than 30 days from now.

check in 2/22 out 2/25.

Airfare was cheaper to fly to Orlando on 2/21 arriving 8pm.

So we want to do a one night room at a value resort, and I've not yet made the reservation yet. I'm hoping to confirm some things first.

I'd like to do this.

Make a reservation for a value, for the 21st. On that reservation, make the disney magical express reservation into the value resort. On that reservation get 4 day park hopper tickets, with them starting on the 22nd.
Morning of the 22nd, check out of value, hand bags off to ?? to have them transferred to Saratoga.
Go to parks until after lunch, and go check in at Saratoga when room is ready.

Leave on magical express on 25th from Saratoga.

So, what are the details and gotchas on bag transfers? (I won't need bag contents that day).
I do not need bags dropped at room, but if possible I'm fine with that.

Is ok to do the 4 day ticket on the original 1 day reservation?

Can we use the magic bands to charge back to the dvc at Saratoga(after saratoga check in)?

I've already online checked in for Saratoga.

What gratuity is customary for any of this?

This is what we do on out transfer day when doing a split stay. By doing this we don't lose any park time.

You just listed the only gotcha, you won't have access to your bags until 3 or 4PM. At resort #1 give your luggage to Luggage Services and ask them to deliver them to Saratoga. Once you get in your room at Saratoga call Bell Services and they will bring your luggage to your room.

You betcha.

Yup.

What gratuity is customary for any of this?

We usually do $2 per bag at each resort.

And just another FYI. You will get 2 sets of Magic Bands, one for each resort. Both sets will be good for your entire stay, covering both resorts.
