Yet another single rider line question.

Okay, say my 8 year old and I go through the regular line at Expedition Everest and he likes it, so we decide to go through the single rider line. He knows he won't be seated with me and everything is all bliss and beans until the time comes to board, when he decides he doesn't want to. Will he be allowed to step out of the line and wait for me to ride single? Or will we both have to leave the line? I know at 8 he is old enough to ride alone. Will he be allowed to wait alone as well?

NO! I am not looking for ways to cut the line so we can ride together. If he will only ride with me then that is my problem, not the CM's or anybody else in the single rider line. That annoys me so much when people pitch a fit and expect exceptions to be made "just this once".

This is all so I can plan my Everest day.

But, if you mean can he exit the boarding area and wait until you are finished riding, then, sure.

Yes he will be allowed to leave the area on his own. He's of the age where he could go all the way through the line, on the ride, and out of the area on his own.

Definitely create a "wait here" spot ahead of time.

Yes my son when he was 7 waited for the rest of us by himself while we rode Splash Mtn since he didn't want to.

if you explain your situation to the ride attendant they will usually give you a re-entry ticket, kind of like an old fastpass that is for people in your situation.

I'm not sure that would be the case.
I don't think that idea fits with this situation.

How would that help? Her son would have to wait longer if they both did the "chicken exit" and then she came back using the re-entry ticket than if he just did the "chicken exit" and she rode then (since they'd be at the front of the line at that point). What am I missing?

Thanks gang! We will definitely pick a "wait spot" before trying single rider....just in case. And we will probably try single for the first time while he has both moms there so if he bails, he can wait with her.
