Yet another security flight question

Sorry but I have not flown since last October when the full security was in place and we were not allowed to take any type of make up.

However I believe the restrictions have been lifted slightly.

Is the security different for going to US than europe?

I am flying to Spain on Tuesday and need to know whether I could take small amounts of make up in a clear bag.

We are not going to WDW until August but would the same apply. I believe we can buy stuff and not open it after the security check in the airport but can I take my own little items of make up through security?

Powders are fine such as eye shadow, blusher and hard lip sticks are ok but not any liquid lipstick or foundations etc. The same restrictions apply no matter where you are travelling to by aircraft, even domestic flights.

If in a container under 100ml and placed in a sealable clear plastic bag no more than 20cm by 20cm you will be fine, you can ussually get about 4 or 5 items of that size in the bag, should of said that earlier! Hope this makes sense I personally prefer to put anything in the hold that may need to go in the plastic bag, I just find it easier as most items I do not need til I get there anyway.

That has been really helpful. I bought some clear pencil cases from WH Smiths yesterday and the make up bits I have are small. When I get back from work I will check the container size but I am sure it will do.

I like to freshen up during the journey. I guess not so bad for a short haul but we do twighlight check in on a long haul and I just have to have my make up!!!!

when we flew from Gatwick in Feb they insisted the clear plastic bag was of the correct size. our bags were too large. But they were giving out the plastic bag so we just transfered our things. We then had to throw our bags away.

Have you checked that the pencil cases you bought are the correct size? 20cm x 20cm according to Virgin website
