Yet another rebooking question (if you already have a ressie)

I have booked us on the August 2006 double dip cruise thru DU...

We are doing a 3 day DCL cruise September 2005.

If there are still 2 connecting Cat 6 availible on the Aug 2006 cruise at the time of our Sept 2005 cruise,

can we....

Book them to get the 10 %discount and the $200 stateroom credit even though we are already booked for it??

Can we transfer our DU ressie to DCL to get the deal then transfer back to get DU's discount??

If there are not 2 connecting 6's availible at the time of the Sept 2005 sailing.... can we book 2 catagory 6's then when we cancel our connecting rooms, switch rooms.... Is it posible to find out if there is a waitlist for the connecting cat 6's to help us determine if this is a safe thing to do???

Of course this is all dependant on the price increases, and if they exceed the credits...

You can do what I did. I asked the agent to pull up my existing cruise and reprice it to see if it was worth converting it to an onboard booking. As it turns out, the price had increased to the point where the SBC and 10% still left it higher priced.

They can help you to work it out if the onboard promo turns out to be the better deal.

I believe that they will be able to handle your rebooking on the ship however, I doubt that you will be able to get a better price at that point. Alot of the cruises have already gone up in cost. I'm sure they will do it the best way for you. When we did this on our last cruise it ended up being the same cost with the 10% that I had booked a couple months prior. Because rebooking the cruise would have put us in late dining instead of the early that we had, she just made a manual adjustment on our reservation adding the $200 room credit.
