Sorry am I beginning to annoy everyone yet:rolleyes:

Just trying to get myself organised and prepared ;)

My youngest DS is 21 months old and therefore still in nappies, the question I need answering is this: Is there anywhere on the plane I can change him ? or do I have to struggle in the space they call a toilet/bathroom ? It's just easier if I can get myself mentally prepared if this is the case.

He's a wee menace at the best of times but when I'm trying to change his nappy he seems to turn into a human snake (wriggles everywhere) and believe me even in them cubicles on the plane he will find every nook and crany and it will be me getting the hot flushes not him (lol)

Any info would be appreciated

Not long now hey - just look at my counter :Pinkbounc :bounce: :Pinkbounc :bounce: :Pinkbounc :bounce: :Pinkbounc :bounce: :Pinkbounc :bounce:

Sharon we're enjoyin readin yer excitement as the day gets nearer, so don't worry about askin questions.

Haven't had to use these facilities so not an expert but I think on the Airtours flights we've been on the baby changin was in the loo - and looked cramped- but maybe that's just Airtours. I've seen people changin their little angels on their knees ,but again that might just be their preference.

Sorry to be ambiguous but didn't like to see yer question sittin there all on it's own. (Course all the Mams are probably stilll makin/clearin tea)

We flew with virgin and where the loos are there was one with a baby changing sign on........don't know how big it was though - a tight fit like everything else no doubt!

Unfortunately it's a tight fit!!! If our lot hadn't done no. 2's we used to change them on our knee, we did have the whole row to ourselves so no babies bottom sticking out at a complete stranger!!!

Our youngest is 24m and still in nappies so I'll be going through it again, I'm just waiting for him to finally realise that he actually has to do something in the toilet not just to sit on it!! But at least it's a start ;)

I used the baby changing loo on the United flight - Only found out they had one on the way back (LOL) but other than that I found it easier to sit on the loo and balance DS on my lap with legs braced against the wall to stop him rolling off.

He's 2½ now and I still haven't convinced him that toilets are not just to sit and sing 'weeeeeeee' on, Still he does like taking his clothes off and sitting on it now as opposed to screaming in terror as he did last month - LOL

BTW does anyone elses kids have to completely strip off to go potty?? Or is it just mine?

Thanks you lot.

Dave - I'm getting toooooooooo excited for words now :Pinkbounc :bounce:  :Pinkbounc :bounce:

Seeing as we are flying with Delta and I cannot get any sense out of their people when I asked it looks like I will be doing it on my lap if its just wet if its the other I'm not that cruel to put the other nice people on the plane through the stench :p :p :p

Thanks again, I'm sure I will be asking another question before I go..(lol)

My DS stripped completely to use the loo untill he was 8! Obviously concentrated so hard he built up a sweat:rolleyes: MInd you i have weird kids so maybe not:teeth:

they have a shelf that comes down from the wall in most of the loos - it is over the loo, and while it's not spacious, I would have thought it was more comfortable than trying to do it sitting on the loo.

because the loos are so small, there will be walls on 3 sides of the changing table, so it might help to keep him penned in a little bit.

Just don't let him down on the floor - it gets really wet and disgusting, and my dd refuses to wear shoes on the plane (or most anyplace), so even at 4 I was having to carry her into the loo and put her on the seat without her feet touching the floor. Yuck!

I think some of the newer planes are better equipped. I've always thought that the people who design planes should have to deal with a really nasty diaper on a squirming infant. It's insane that they don't have better facilities on all the planes.
