Yet another points question ?

Hi...sorry for all these questions? If I bank all my 2006 points...which I will have to do my May (If I dont rent or transfer)...They will then become 2007 points ...right? My use year is December do I don't get my 2007 points till december.

So does thst mean Iam "pointless" between May and December?
If I decided to take a vacation in this time frame could I "borrow" from my now banked points or will I have to wait till December?

You are correct...once you bank them to 2007, they won't become available until December 2007....you will be "pointless" until then

If you bank them, they will become valid for stays between 12/1/2007 and 11/30/2008. If you don't use them before 11/30/2008, they expire and are lost to you.

It just means (as you surmise), that if you want to vacation between the time you bank and 12/1/2007, you must borrow points from your 2007 use year to do it. (You can't borrow fback the points you banked). Keep in mind that if you borrow points for a reservation and then change your mind (cancel the reservation), you will have to use the borrowed points by 11/30/2007 or they will expire and be lost to you.

I did this last year! We banked our '06 points in August (Feb. use year), then I decided I wanted to take a January trip. We borrowed points for the January trip - it was a risk, but it was a short trip so I only had about 33 points tied up and at risk.

When I started making my 07 reservations, the CM used the banked points first.
