Yet another MYW tickets question.

Okay, so I remember reading a post about this recently, but can't seem to find it- can I add the No Expiration option during our trip? We have 5 day MYW+ hopping, I'm thinking of upping it to 10 days. If I'm remembering correctly, on the last day of our trip I can visit guest services and add the no expiration option for the remaning days. This way I can take advantage of the discounted pricing for the 10 day MYW, but only pay for the no expiration for the 5 unused days. Does this make sense? I am I remembering this right or am I crazy?

You're correct, but to clarify, you would pay the non-expiration cost for the full 10-day pass ($100 each), not for however many days are remaining.

Yes, that is what I just read also. You cannot upgrade based on the number of days left on the ticket, it has to be an upgrade based on the full days on the ticket.

This is correct. Even so, it would be cheaper (even paying for the upgrade for the whole 10 days) than buying two 5 day passes. Don't let the fact that you'll pay for the whole 10 days be the thing that stops you from doing it.

For some reason I was thinking that you only had to pay the upgrade fee on the remaining days. :huh: Oh well, either way it's a great deal. Can I upgrade to the 10 day at check in or should I do it before hand?

This is how it works. You may upgrade your MYW ticket at anytime within 14 days of the the day of the 1st use. At that time you can add on days, the park hopper option, the MPP option or the no expiration option. Regardless of when you add on the no expiration option, it will be the price of how many days you have on your ticket. So, if you have a 5 day ticket and add on the 5 extra days making it a 10 day ticket, if you have any days left, it will cost you the price to add the Non expiring feature to the entire 10 day ticket... it is not pro-rated to the amount you have left on the ticket.
