I have a few questions about the memory maker- I think I get the gist, I don't know why I'm having a problem fully understanding it.

I'm wondering- does the free service photo pass used to offer still exist? Like getting your pictures taken, and if you choose to pay and download you can? I love taking pics at Disney, so right now I'm leaning twds not getting the MM. But would still like the option of downloading a few if I see one I really like.

Also- I read that we still get a printed photo packages at cinderella's round table, so my understanding is that with the MM we get the paper and digital copies?

If you purchase the MM ahead of time- you can download and print every picture you have if you want to for no additional charge- correct?

Thanks!

I'm wondering the same thing, except I'm also wondering what happens to ride photos - can I look at them later and purchase it if I want it, or do I have to decide on the spot? My DS5 is 44" and my DS3 is 39.5" so we may be getting to go on the bigger rides this trip!

We've done PP+ in the past, but have never gotten enough pictures, even on a 2 week with grandparents trip. I do always keep 1-3 pictures, but that's not worth the price tag!

OP, you're correct. There is still the option of getting the photopass card and you are able to view them at the mydisneyphotopass.com website and purchase from there.bthe difference between Memory Maker and regular photopass is that virtually all photos are included in MM...character meet and greets, magic shots, random photos taken by a photopass photographer, ride photos and some dining photos. You get the rights so you are able to download them or take them somewhere and get them printed.

You are able to edit, add borders etc, to your MM photos and download as many as you want as many times as you want for the $150 (or $200) price tag.

Ride photos must be purchased in park. You can buy any other photo after the fact but not those ones.

Thanks for the info. I think I'd rather save the money and just spend it towards the purchase of a good camera.

Wow! As a grandmother, I took 7 day a trip with my 2 grown children and two grandchildren and a friend, we wound up with 700 pictures on ours with character meet and greets, and all the pictures from photopass photographers around the parks. That total included the cropped and features added photos.

I'm with you on the number of pictures. For the 2 weeks we were there in June, we ended up with over 1,600 pictures BEFORE we did any edits. That was just for our family of 8. I'm not going to say that all of them were keepers, but they did catch quite a few shots that I'm sure I wouldn't have. Plus I was able to participate in the character interactions too, not just stand back with my camera to take pictures.
