Yet Another ME Question

Can I send my luggage on ME to my hotel and then use ME to go to another hotel?

Here's the scenario:

We land at 4:40 p.m. and would like to go to Hoop-Dee-Doo at 7:15 p.m. We are staying at CBR. So, unless I have a tremendous amount of luck we can't realistically go to CBR and then get out to Ft. Wilderness in time to catch the show.

Any info or ideas or suggestions would be appreciated.

From what we've been told on this forum by at least one CM, no, you can't take DME to a resort that you are not staying at.

If you can't or won't change your Hoop ADR, then maybe you'd be best to get a taxi from CBR to FW, that would save you time over the bus from CBR to MK and then boat from MK to FW. As you probably know, CBR to FW by Disney Transport can take an hour easy, maybe more if you have longer wait times.

If you land at 4:40 p.m. and your flight is actually on-time, then ON AVERAGE you should be at CBR by 5:40 p.m. (but realistically it could be later if there are any delays, including a flight delay). Give it 5 minutes to check your luggage but NOT check-in at the resort yet (which would probably take longer), then it's 5:45 p.m., a good hour to FW is 6:45, 5 minute walk from dock to Pioneer Hall, it's 6:50 p.m., and they say you're supposed to check in at Hoop 30 minutes before the 7:15 p.m. showtime. Yup, that's pushing it. I imagine a taxi would have to shave time off for you, maybe a good 30 minutes or so, and probably less stressful, too.

Any chance of changing your Hoop ressie to a different night? Did your flight time change, is that why the close time between your scheduled landing and the Hoop ADR?

OK, I'm not going back to change everything I just typed, but I just noticed that from your post it seems you haven't paid for Hoop yet. I'd advise NOT trying to make the 7:15 p.m. Hoop show that night, unless rushing doesn't stress you.

Have to completely agree with Eric on this....that would be cutting way too close. So...no, you can't send your luggage to your resort but hop on the FW DME bus. I would either change my HDDR seating to a later seating, or a different night, or just hope for the best and grab a cab from CBR to HDDR. Best case scenario..you land at 4:40 (right on time), get a short line at the DME counter, hop on a bus with minimal wait..say you're on the bus by 5:15, then a 35-40 minute ride to CBR (you could get lucky and be the first stop, so it would only be about 30 minutes), so at resort at about 5:50, check in, about 20 minutes depending on how many are there with you, so now it's about 6:15ish. Grab a cab, without going to your room first, head to FW..get there about 6:50ish.
I have had about 70 minutes from deplaning to resort checkin on three different trips. But, I usually get to MCO late morning...later in the afternoon can bring heavier crowds, so longer lines. Can you make it? Probably. But, if it were me, everything would conspire against me..the flight would be late getting in, there would be about 70 people in line at DME ahead of me...the bus to my resort would be just pulling away as I got to the beginning of the bus line, and then my resort would be the last of 3 or 4 stops!!! Always happens to me that way if I have to be someplace. But, if I have all the time in the world...yep, takes the minimum of time. Murphey's Law in action!!!!
