Yet another LAX shuttle question

Sorry folks - another one of "these" questions.

I've always used Super Shuttle and this time they want to pick me up from my hotel (DLH) to return to the airport over 4 hours before my flight.

Is it just me or does that seem a wee bit insane? :headache:

Basically means we won't get any park time the last day. My flight is at dinner time and they want to pick me up at noon.

Is there another way you guys would suggest to try to get a bit more time at the parks?

Has anyone done Uber or one of those types of services? Any idea on costs? Taxi costs?

I just wanted to say HI! And I hope you can figure something else out so you dont have to miss out on park time your last day! I think cabs are pretty expensive though from DL to LAX.

What time would you like them to pick you up? Is this a weekday? Or weekend? Domestic flight? Or foreign?

Lots of factors play into what pick up times they offer. They've been doing this for a long time and they are aware of traffic issues that may be affecting the transit time.

When we've used Super Shuttle, they always give us a choice of times. Are they just offering you one? Maybe they are already booked up for the time frame you fall into.

Ya, I've used them lots of times too but never had them want to pick up this early. They aren't offering a choice which makes me think its all booked up. When I get to the "choose your return pick up time" there is only one choice.

Grrrr….

Yea I'm gonna guess they're booked. I'm surprised no one has chimed in yet on other shuttle services. I know I've heard some other names dropped before, I just dont have experience with any of them.

Maybe call your hotel and ask them who else they would recommend?

It means that you are going to get on the shuttle and then drive around town for an hour picking up other people. Been there done that, was sooo glad it was just me and not me and my son who wouldn't have dealt well with that...

I would use Karmel Shuttle. Of all the services I've liked them the most so far.

If you think about it 4 hours probably isn't that insane. You've to be at the airport at least 2 hours before your flight (if it's the same as here) and LAX is supposed to be 45 minutes away from Anaheim and if traffic is as bad as I hear it is in LA you could get stuck :confused3

Ya, I know. Its actually 4 1/2 hours early. I know traffic can be bad. Just disappointing to lose the day in the park.

It is but I think I'd still prefere to be on time at the airport than see Mickey Mouse one more time :goodvibes

check out PrimeTime Shuttle. We have had good luck with them and they do have on-line discounts. Also, you can call them and arrange for a later time.....just make sure you are taking into account all factors like traffic, time to check in and get through security, etc...

Call other shuttles. It doesn't require 4.5 hours to get to LAX on time. I've had this happen, and it was because I booked late. The last stop before we got on the highway was at "my" hotel, where they had picked me up the hour before. They will be getting people after you are on the shuttle. It's time spend on Harbor and Katella that you'll be dealing with.

There are other options. :)

Could you just take the DL Express instead? Maybe that would save some time?

We used & loved DK's Livery private car service, using them again in 2 weeks.
