Park Vue $472 includes breakfast and super close
Ramada $428 includes breakfast and still close
Worldmark, beautiful inside, (From the pics) 1 bedroom with kitchen, still need to buy food at $485.

All for 4 nights.

Thoughts, reviews, etc. Thanks!

Pictures would be great, the sticky post isn't showing me any pictures unfortunately :(

Closest is always the best at the end of a long day in the parks!

We're Park Vue Inn devotees... The location can't be beat--I mean, you are *at* the crosswalk for the pedestrian entrance. They've treated us well. And I've never seen such full breakfast selections before! Especially after a long day at the parks, I love being able to walk across the street and see my hotel room!

Park Vue hands down. Free hot breakfast with free parking. All you have to do is walk across the street for a mid day break and after a long day at the park when your feet are hurting, that short walk is priceless.

So if we end up adding a day, which we seem to keep doing....we're talking Ramada being close to $100 less and it's 30 seconds further down the road. I've been trying to find TR on Ramada and can't find anything on the boards. Sounds like the breakfast is much better at Park Vue.

Ok so since we are getting AP's, we can add another night for only $12 more at the Ramada. I just need some feedback on the Ramada. Anyone? Anyone?

No direct feedback on Ramada, other than to pay close attention to the address--I believe I've seen a post or two on here about people thinking (from pictures or verbiage) that they were getting the close one, but their ressies were really at the further one.

ParkVue, always! they have rooms with bunk beds for kids and rooms with Jacuzzis for no kids :yay: its so close and breakfast is good and free!

For the Ramada, I have friends who swear by this hotel. It's the only one they go to for DL trips.

As for Park Vue, we did stay there about 7 years ago...and vowed to never return. From the sounds of other posters, it's improved. But when we went there, it was so run down and had roaches in the bathroom every night we were there. The walk was incredibly easy, though. Still, Ramada isn't that much further. And $100 is $100.

Ramada is nice - I have stayed there several times most recently in October. The breakfast is more continental style and the staff are very friendly. I have never had a problem there. :)

I haven't stayed in the Ramada but noted last week that there was construction going on there - may not be a bother to you but possibly something to look into. I'm not sure when you will be there so it may be over by then.

We have stayed at the ramada countless times over the last couple of years. Will you be in a superior room? The superior room is in the NEW building and they are very nice. This building is 4 stories and I always request the top floor. The pp is correct, there is major construction going on. It's at the front of the property closest to harbor. The new building is in the back of the property. In dec we heard no noise from construction.

The breakfast isn't all that great. Bagels, doughnuts, and cereal I think. No hot items. The walk is super easy and quick. I've read parking can be right but we haven't had an issue.

I was a little bummed to see they recently started charging $5 for parking. It's still less them other hotels charge but it's another expense.

I will continue to stay here but only in the new building. The older buildings have ever been terrible for us. They are dated but always very clean. We've just found that the older rooms are louder then the new rooms. Being on the top floor really reduces the noise you hear from the parking lot, etc. Although there's always an occasional person being loud walking through the halls.

We also like that the new rooms have 2 sinks in the bathroom. The shower and toilet area are spacious and there's lots of storage. We really like the new rooms :)

We stayed at the Ramada Maingate once and loved it. We booked four rooms, each with two queens, and asked if at least two could connect and the others could be nearby. They upgraded our family of four to a small suite that had a sofa sleeper, small kitchen area, a huge closet and dressing area outside the bathroom. My sister's room was connected and my parents' and my brother's rooms were just a few doors down. Everyone loved their rooms. There was plenty of parking, and the walk to the parks was very easy. I decided against it for our upcoming trip (starting tomorrow!) because their rates were too high. For another $50 a night, we were able to book a 2-room suite at the Camelot. I would stay at the Ramada again if I could get a good rate.

We've stayed at the Park Vue twice. The first time, there was a giant roach in our bathroom. We trapped it under the ice bucket, which remained on the floor under the sink for two more days. The maid never bothered to deal with it. After using the coffee pot and cups on the first day, they were never cleaned. We had to wash them ourselves if we wanted coffee. Plus, it was a suite with three beds and we had five people in there. Each day, we got towels for two people and had to call and ask for more.

The second stay at the Park Vue was fine. The room was nice, no roaches, room was cleaned well enough. However, upon check out we learned that their system had two rooms booked for us. I had only booked one, but did go in and modify it to a larger room. I never made two reservations, nor did I receive an additional confirmation number. The email I received said I had successfully changed my reservation to a different room type. The staff insisted I owed them for one night in the unused room. I explained that I had simply modified an existing reservation, not booked an additional one. They said you have to call if you want to change room types. So I asked why does their website give the option to modify a reservation if you're not supposed to do it there? They didn't have an answer and refused to reverse the charge. I got home and called repeatedly to speak to a manager, who was "in a meeting" every single time I called. I couldn't get the money back through my credit card company because they said the Park Vue refused to reverse the charge. I was out $150 for no reason other than greed and the apparent lack of desire to do the right thing and retain customers. Never again.

Tomorrow we will be checking into the Camelot. Hoping for a nice stay!

So hey LuvBunnies, I just checked Camelot for our days and it's actually cheaper than Ramada. This morning we decided to go back to Park Vue, thinking the breakfast and even closer would be worth it. The construction at the Ramada just worries me. I've read mixed reviews on the ongoing construction. I just found a rate of $520 for 5 nights at Camelot. I've never stayed there so I guess it's time to start reading some more reviews.

Just saw Camelot doesn't have any breakfast. Hmmmmm still searching.
