Yet Another FP+ Strategy 'WWYD' Question

For the second year in a row our 60 day FP+ window opens on a weekend when we'd rather be on the road away from internet reception. We have a cottage in the Pa mountains with no land line and spotty cell reception. We're going to WDW for 9 days starting on Oct. 18. Last time out we went to our city residence to do the choices since I was handling this stuff for a party of 11 and for FoP I had to go to day 65 or so to get that for all 11 in the AM. In 2018 it's just wifey and I so I'm wondering if I can't just wait until the evening of the 60 day period or even the next day to get all the major attractions. FWIW by booking at 60 days last time I got absolutely everything we wanted for all of us.

Any advice would be appreciated and rest assured our 2019 dates will be predicated on the 60 day window falling on a week day.

Flight of Passage is the most difficult, but with a 9 day trip, you should still be OK that night or the next day. Most others shouldn't be a problem.

This is the 3rd year in a row me and 2 buds got shut out of white tail. I went up on Black Friday, woke up on Sat to find a small herd nibbling in my wife's flower garden and that was it for the week. I'll be investing in salt licks this year.

You can certainly wait until the evening to book likely with quite a bit of availability open, but the high priority (if they are of interest) FOP Navi, FEA, 7DMT might be limited in times. Oh and whatever might be open in the new Toy Story land. It sounds like you go often enough that i don't know if i would be too worried about booking right when they open. Plus with a longer trip you have more flexibility and more FP choices.

If you are that concerned just stay home that weekend, but i don't think i would change my plans just to book FP.

You'll be fine, other that FoP for your first few days and maybe some limited availability for 7DMT those days you'll get everything.
