I won two auctions by the same seller who was kind enough to combine shipping. I sent payment via PayPal, and they sent the package:

The problem is that they only sent one of the items in the package. I waited a couple of days, assuming that they forgot the two items were going to the same address (they have alot of auctions going on). I emailed today to let them know I never got the other package, and asking if they were mailed on the same day.

I got this exact email in response : "they were in the same package"

Nothing else-no other explantation--not a "I'll check and see if I can find it here" not even a name.

I'm not an idiot--you don't miss two of these things in a bubble envelope. There was no packing material to get an item lost in.

So, I emailed back to ask them to check their inventory again, since they should have an extra item there.

Where do I go from here if they refuse to admit they forgot to send it? They sent the package with delivery confirmation--but it was mailed with stamps (not a weighed and meaured decal from the USPS---so I can't prove it was left out with the weight of the package). A delivery confirmation would only prove a package was sent--not what was in it. Their feedback is 29 and 100% positive--I really think it was just an oversight. I hope.

HELP

Did you pay with a credit card? If the seller doesn't own up to his/her mistake, I would dispute the transaction. This seller sounds like a dud. Not off to a very good start. Good luck!

I'm shocked that a seller with a feedback of only 29 would respond that way. It would be more understandable (although, still not acceptable) if the feedback was in the thousands (meaning to me they made a mistake with so many auctions going on at once) but 29?

I agree 100%, dispute the charges with your credit card company if that's a resource that's available to you. If it's not, go to Paypal and file a dispute there. I doubt you could do a charge back, but you could file a complaint. You could also file a complaint with eBay. I don't know where the latter two would get you, but they may scare your seller into sending the item.

Hope all turns out well for you.

I would email the seller (if you don't hear back within a day or two of your last email to them) and tell them if they don't mail you the second item IMMEDIATELY (and email you the delivery confirmation number so you can track it), you will file for a chargeback through Paypal AND file mail fraud charges.

It's easy to file mail fraud charges, and I've read that the Post Office takes auction fraud very seriously. Here is a link to the on-line mail fraud form:
https://www.usps.com/postalinspectors/fraud/MailFraudComplaint.htm

I will be very interested to hear what your seller ends up doing! Please post back and let us know.

I had a similiar problem last December. I went through the complaint department at Paypal. It was real easy and I got a full refund. They charged it back to the seller. You may want to try that. Good luck.

I'm going to give it a couple of days to see if they respond, and then take action with PayPal and Ebay.

Such strange behavior. I JUST started selling on ebay also, and have been rather successful, but can't "afford" negative feedback (I only have a feedback of 8--100% positive). I don't know if I want to risk negative feedback retaliation for a $7 item----but the bottom line is....Wrong is Wrong.

Anyone NOT bid on an item because of one negative feedback?

If there's negative feedback, I try to see what was said by both parties. Sometimes people, especially new eBayers, are too quick to neg someone. My only neg is from someone who waited one month to contact me about a missing item but took only a day after that to leave negative feedback. This was even after I'd responded immediately that I would have the post office track the item.

Remember, you do have the opportunity to respond to any negative feedback that is left for you.
