Yet ANOTHER Dole Whip question

I've never had one and have never heard of them until I started reading this board a few weeks ago. I keep hearing people say it's pineapple soft serve. Is this a soft serve "ice cream"? Is it more of a "frozen pineapple lemonade type drink?

I need specifics. Sounds like I would love the float too!!!

How many flavors can you get this in? And what are they?

Yes it's soft serve, you can get pineapple, pineapple/vanilla swirl, chocolate/pineapple swirl. Also vanilla & chocolate on their own. And also floats i think you can get these in any combination. Maybe somebody could confirm what flavours they have had.

It's ice cream.. not ice like a lemon ice... I've only ever gotten pineapple dole whip floats... which is the pineapple ice cream in pineapple juice. My ex got the chocolate but.. that to me isn't a dole whip it's just chocolate ice cream. They have plain vanilla as well as the ones the previous poster listed. I think youcan have any type put in the pineapple juice but chocolate ice cream in pineapple juice just doesn't sound good to me.

Here is a dole whip float.. SOOOO good!

The chocolate and pineapple is the best... There is also the dole whips "sister" floats... At Enchanted grove in Fantasyland there are strawberry swirls and Sunshine Tree Terrace there are Citrus swirls that taste like creamcicles.

i had one on the last trip after MUCH anticipation, i didn't really like it though. i had the pineapple soft serve float, it was WAY to pineappley for me. next time i'd do the vanilla with the pineapple juice... or maybe just stick with a mickey bar!

Thats why I love mixing it with chocolate... it makes a nice combination and takes away some of the pineapple taste.. I can not eat a whole plain pineapple one.

Just got back a couple hours ago and must admit that I had 3 Dole Whips last week! Love, love, love them!! I always get the pineapple Whip and DD gets the floats. I got one of them on the way to lunch, you know, just to take the edge off (it's a long walk from Adventureland to Main Street) ! To the poster that mentioned Enchanted Grove, we like to stop there too, but it was closed every time we saw it last week.

They are not ice cream at all! They are non-dairy which is wonderful for my severly lactose-intolerant daughter. There are very few dessert items she can eat at WDW so we get these every chance we get!

It's soft serve pineapple sherbet. You can get it swirled with ice cream if you want (choc or vanilla) or served over pineapple juice (or both!) but in and of itself it's not ice cream.
