Yet another DDP/DDxP Question - Credits

Sorry - but I am trying to get this straight in my head (& excel sheet!)

We are staying 9/8-9/17.
We would like to do DDxP the 1st night & then DDP every night after that.
If we only use 2 TS credits 9/8, does it really matter when we use the "leftover" TS credit? What I mean is, since we have the DDP every night after that we can do 1 more signature TS towards the end of our stay, like 9/16 since we always have 1 TS credit everyday. Am I correct?

Not sure if this is important or not, but we are split staying 9/8-9/11@ AKV & then 9/12-9/17 @ BLT.

Correct, the split stay is almost like checking out, so the credits earned up to that point will need to be used by midnight of the "check out" day. New credits on the new "check-in" will be valid until midnight check-out or the next split stay start.

I use 2 of the 3 on 9/9 & use the remaining 1 on 9/10, but get another on 9/10 so technically I could do a signature restaurant on 9/9 & 9/10. But if I just use the "old" ts credit for 9/10 & continue that way I can have another signature meal at the end. Does this make sense!

No... any credits from the first plan (DxDP) would expire at midnight on the 9th - since you checked in on the 8th. So that last TS credit would not be available anymore on the 10th. You can only use the NEW credits from the new plan (DDP) from the 9th - when you check in - forward to the end of your trip.

No, you get three TS credits on 9/8 to use on 9/8 and 9/9. You can't use those after 9/9.

Right so when I check in on 9/9 with the DDxP I get 3 table services & I will use 2 on 9/9.

On 9/10 I still have 1 TS left over from 9/9 & a new on for 9/10 from the DDP. I will use the leftover one from 9/9 on 9/10 so the one from 9/10 rolls into 9/11.

On 9/11 I will have 2 TS - old one from 9/10 & new one from 9/11 & so on.....

Isn't that how it will work out?

If you check in on 9/8, you will have 3 credits to use by midnight on 9/9 (for a one night DxDP stay).

On 9/9, from when you "check in", you will start getting new credits through the end of your stay. But they are not available "per day" like you have described - better to look at it like "I am getting 8 nights x 1 TS credit per night for each person" (not counting any CS credit or snacks). So you have 8 TS credits that can be used at any time once you check in to part 2 of your reservation.

What you cannot do, from my understanding is use the 1 leftover credit from the deluxe part of the stay combined with 1 TS credit from the next part of the stay for a 2 TS location.

Now that I've said ALL that, I'm pretty sure your 2 different resort stays are still 2 different reservations, each with their own DDP (I know of no exceptions to that). So you will have credits like this, assuming you are first checking in on 9/8, 9/9 and moving and checking in on 9/11:

check-in 9/8: DxDDP with 3 TS credits expiring at midnight on 9/9
check-in 9/9: DDP with 2 nights of DDP plan credits which expire at midnight on 9/11
check-in 9/11: DDP with 6 nights of DDP plan credits which expire at midnight on 9/17

Someone please correct me if I typed anything wrong - it is a bit confusing with multiple check-in dates and a 2 resort stay!

It may be easier to help if we knew your entire itinerary. So you check in on 8/9 with DxDP and check out on 8/10? Check in to different resort on 8/10 with DDP and check out on when?

8/9-8/10: 1 night AKL DxDP
8/10-8/12: 2 nights AKL DDP
8/12-8/17: 5 nights BLT DDP

Yes? If so, I think your plan will work

8/9-8/10 = 3 TS: 2 used at Cali Grill on 8/9; 1 used at WCC on 8/10
8/10-8/12 = 2 TS: 1 used at Y&Y on 8/11; 1 used at Wave on 8/12
8/12-8/17 = 5 TS: 1 used at Teppan Edo 8/13; 1 used at GF Cafe 8/14; 1 used in France on 8/15; 2 used at FF on 8/16

We have done split stays with different plans. What we did that helped keep track of what card to use first was to label it with a Sharpie. This way, I knew to use up those credits (since they expired at midnight) before starting the new card.

The only tricky part came at one CS place. We were ordering 4 meals and had 2 credits on the old card and 2 credits on the new card. I had to place the ordered as different ones so they could run each card through. Not a huge deal but something to be aware about.

And, if you are eating signature, you can not use credits from two different plans--so, you would not be able to use a credit left from stay 1 with a credit from stay 2 for the same meal.

For example, you had 4 people, each with 1 credit left on the card, you would have to pay for 2 people with one card and 2 people with the other

True, no appetizers with the regular DDP. Meh - if you really, really want an app, just pay for that OOP.
