Hi everyone,

I am seriously considering buying some Crocs after reading so much good stuff about them, but I am a bit confused on what size I should order. I have very wide feet. My actual shoe size is 7 1/2, but when I buy shoes I have to buy 9's or even 10's to fit the width. Are crocs wide? If they are I was thinking I could order an 8, but I'm just not sure. Also, I am very heavy and get terrible blisters when walking at Disneyland. Will these crocs really prevent that? And which ones would be the best? I really like the look of the Nile and the Athens.

Thanks so much!

Hi, I have found that crocs do run wide, I wear a 9 or 10 nike, depending if it is wide. I bought my crocs in a nine. I am also very heavy and I have found the best way for me to combat blisters is to wear sneakers and crocs every other day. I still seem to get them on my little toe though!! I just bought the flip flop crocs, they are very comfy. I'm sorry, I can't help you with which are best.

Hi - I have feet like a duck, wide in front & narrow in the heel. Crocs are more than ample-ly wide for me. It's been posted that if you throw them in the dryer for a minute or two, they shrink/mold to your feet better; but I haven't tried that out yet.

I've worn a pair out already in less than a year, up to my 5th pair. Used to have to get steriod shots in my foot, haven't had to since I started wearing Crocs most of the time.

Personally, I like the models that are sized specifically (i.e. size 8 as opposed to a large, size 8-9) I wear an 8-1/2 usually & 8 fits me just fine, I usually wear no-show socks with them to avoid sweating though.

Lastly, I really don't care for my Nile sandals. Tried repeatedly to break them in but the bumps against the bottom of my feet were just too irritating for walking any distance.

Good luck.

Be careful with that! I threw mine in the dryer to stretch them a little and they ended up stretching way too much. :guilty: I don't know if there's any way to get them shrunk again. I just wrote Crocs a letter to ask.
