I would agree that it appears there are more accidents than there used to be. Whether all of them, or even the majority of them, are the fault of Disney and their bus drivers would be the statistics I'd be interested in. I've been on Disney buses that literally had to stop on a dime because another driver cut them off, or up on to a sidewalk to avoid a car coming the wrong way in a one way area (and at a pretty good clip too).
As I'm sure some of you can relate, sometimes the person who gets the ticket in an accident may be "technically" at fault, but in reality, it was the actions of another vehicle that started the whole thing. For example, has anyone here hit another car in the rear, not because they weren't paying attention, but because the person in front of them did something - like cutting them off by changing lanes, or pulling out into your lane without enough clearance? Or you get hit in the side making a left hand turn because someone came over a hill or around a curve at a high rate of speed where your vision was limited, but you get the ticket for failure to yield? I've had friends who were in these scenarios, and they said there literally was nothing they could do to avoid the accident (short of levitating their car off the ground) because of the actions of the other driver. Yet, they were "technically" at fault.
I know the Epcot accident was the bus driver's fault, and he was sited. From what I've read, the FW accident was not the bus driver's fault, although the investigation is still underway. So I'll be interested in hearing more details about this one as well, to find out what really happened. I do fault the media for one thing though, especially the media here in Orlando, who go out of their way to over-emphasize anything negative that happens at Disney, but barely give the light of day to anything positive. I could understand that more from media outside our area, but when your local economy depends on the tourist industry to keep it afloat, you would think they would at least be giving equal time to the positive news. They exaggerate, don't check their facts, and when they do make a mistake, they never, ever own up to it. I've gotten to the point I don't even watch the local news any more.
