(yet another) Bounceback Question

Apologies if this has been asked and answered before!

I am wanting to go to WDW in November 2015. If I was to book a room now, and then find out the there was a bouceback offer for that time when I headed there in early in the new year do I forefit the deposit on that original booking or is it easy enough to transfer it to the BB offer?

Never used a BB before and am trying to work out if it is like some of the other discounts where you can have them applied to an existing booking or if it is different.

As long as you are booking through Disney, you will not lose your deposit.
You may either apply it to the new package or have it refunded to the original form of payment.

Disney allows penalty-free cancellations up until 45 days prior to check-in.

To book a BB you have to be at the resort. Can't book ahead of time. But if you go there and what you have book is under the BB offer you can see if you change your original trip. I am not sure if they can apply your deposit to new booking. If room they will but if package I am not sure. ...
