yesterday was my school's scholarship ceremony

everything was kept secret about what we won, until it was announced.

in total, i've recieved about 17K to go to MTSU.

that breaks down to:
a pell grant
a tscc grant
a full ride scholarship +1K allowance/year
tennessee's hope lottery scholarship.

i am still freaking out.

eta.
my tuition is only 5 thousand dollars.

Congrats!

My mom makes too much money, so I got pretty much didly for aid. My mother's income isn't constant and that's the part that really sucks. Her income depends on what her clients have in their accounts (she has a commission fee as a Financial Planner). Last year, the stock market wasn't bad and she was doing OK because some of her clients still had several million dollars. Now, she's being sued for several million and most of her clients are clinging to their last couple hundred thousand dollars. Oh, and she might get fired as part of a cost-cutting measure.

Just means I get to go through the whole aid process again next year.

Sorry for the rant. Needed to get that off my chest.

But, sincerly, my congratulations are with you.
