So, I don't really post on this board too often, but I figured this board would be most interested in this story!
Ahhh, so yesterday I went to North Point Mall in Atlanta. Demi Lovato was there holding a free meet and greet for the Shop Til You Rock tour. The Meet and greet was supposed to start at one. We got there around 9:30 and got in line. At this point, the line was already forming across the street from the mall entrance in the parking deck. We waited outside from around 9:30 to right at 1:00 and then security led us inside to a second queue line. We were in that line until about 2:30 and then we finally were moved up into the main queue line. Demi was signing autographs and actually took the time to have conversations with her fans. About half way through the meet and greet 'set', Demi left for a Starbuck's break, haha. By the time I got up to finally meet her, I had been in line for about 4.5, close to five hours, but it was totally worth it.
Demi is definitely one of my favorite Disney stars/role models/idols. I love how she stands up to bullying since I was bullied/teased/verbally attacked all this past year at school. When I got up to Demi, the conversation went like this
Me:Hi.
Demi: How are you?
Me: Good. I just wanted to thank you for standing up against bullying. I was bullied a lot last year and your music and campaign against bullying really helped me get through it.
Demi: Aww, thanks sweetie. I'm glad I was able to help you.
Then, she signed my two things for me and my sister and I went to the balcony to get some more pictures. Nearly everyone meeting her were teens/people in their early 20s, hardly any teenies, which made me super happy. As always, she was so pretty and is definitely one of the sweetest celebrities out there today!
We somehow left the mall at the same time she did, so we got to wave to her as she was escorted to her car, and her car drove right by us as she left!
Here are a few of my best/favorite pics from today:
