Oh no!!! I was worried about people stealing our stroller too, but I was told crime is so low in Disney World... but I guess it still happens.
Now I don't know what to do. I was planning on taking our 200 dollar double stroller with us, but now I am not so sure.

Does anyone have any suggestions on how to lock the wheels of a Maclaren Techno XT?

...and ours was! Long story short, we were in Cosmic Rays for 25 minutes eating dinner prior to the start of MNSSHP last Thursday. When we came out, it was gone! We did a lot of reading, when we were first looking at our trip, about whether or not strollers were at risk. A few said it could be a problem, but the vast majority expressed that it had never been a problem. I am certain that we are the exception (the fact that the CM looked dumfounded when I told her displayed how rare this was). However, I want you to be aware that it can happen. If you take a stroller, make sure you mark in some readily identifiable way. That is exactly what we did not do, and I am guessing that made it a much more attractive mark for the person who took it.

That said, I have to say that Disney REALLY came through to keep the problem from becoming a train wreck. Follow this link for the post on that story!

OP sorry you had to go through that as I was probably one of those that said your stroller would be fine. When we were down there in 2006 we never had a problem with our two strollers. Dh was very nervous they would get stolen, but we made sure we had our camera with us and just left the diaper bag.

But after reading all the posts in this thread it seems more strollers are stolen than I thought.

Some of the comments here have seemed to imply that it is more frequent than some believe. I have to say, however, that the CM's who responded to our situation certainly did not act as though this was a common occurrence. The first two CM's at the speedway were completely dumfounded, with no idea what to do. Once the supervisor arrived, he handled it well, but was still out of his element. It was clear that this was not something that deal with regularly.
