Yay ADRs!

We are actually doing BOG twice during our upcoming trip. Both times I have told my husband that he will want to order off the kid's menu. He is pescetarian due to dietary issues and none of the options on the adult menu for lunch are things he would eat. He will have the same issue with the breakfast menu, so he will just be much happier ordering off the kid's menu to start off with. I on the other hand am quiet looking forward to the adult menu for both breakfast and lunch for me.

I had to use the website every day for our reservations as well, since we're staying off property (well split stay now, but at the time it was all off property), fortunately we are going during a slightly less busy time since I had to make reservations for 11! (13 for one meal), since it is a huge family trip.

I made the same recommendation to my husband...the kids menu. We also thought about him grabbing something before we go to BOG. Our ADR is at 12:25 so if goes and grabs something before then he could just sit with us at BOG.

your really getting it all done! SO happy for you!!! Love everything except Rain Forest. I just think they are overpriced for mediocre food.. yet that volcano dessert is out of this world...

Very happy with the results so far. It it wasn't for the kids we would be skipping RFC, but they love it and this trip is about them. I'm getting my way in November.

3rd ADR Update!!

Today's ADR goal was to get a lunch ADR at Sci-fi. Well, the pixie dust has continued!!! I was able to get an ADR for 12:20.

Two more mornings of ADRs and we will be all set for our meals in the Parks. The plan for this trip will be to have bfast in the condo, lunch in the Parks and dinner back at the condo before heading back to the Parks for the evening. I'm finding it harder to plan our the dinners in the condo than anything else...lol.​

4th ADR Update!!

The hunt this morning was for a lunch ADR at Via Napoli. I was late logging in because Joey has a cold and was very restless last night, which means I didn't get much sleep. I logged in about 7:15 this morning, and I'm happy to say I was able to get the ADR for 12:35!!

I am beyond pleased with my success so far with my ADRs, I'm not having nearly as hard of a time I had for our November ADRs.

One more morning of ADR hunting and we should be all set!! ​

5th (and final) ADR Update!

Well, yesterday morning was my last morning of ADRs. My goal was to get a lunch ADR at The Plaza at MK. I'm happy to report I was able to get it for 12:25! This could possibly change once more info comes out about Skipper Canteen. Depending on the menu, pricing and all that good stuff I may try to change this ADR to that instead. So, I will be keeping a look out for updates when they come out!

I could not be happier about getting ALL the ADRs I was hoping for and at the times I was wanting! Thanks for all the pixie dust!

The next hurdle for this trip will be reserving our condo rental. I've been looking over a couple of websites to see what is out there, and I'm pretty happy with what I have come across. We are looking for a 3 or 4 bedroom condo that is within 15-20 minutes of the parks. As you can imagine we have TONS of options, so it will just be a task of narrowing it down based on price, reviews and amenities.

However, I will not be pulling the trigger on anything until Keith and I get back from our November Trip. ​

I have to say after the ease of making my ADRs for Spring Break (week of Easter, mind you), it is making me a bit nervous about the crowds for our November Trip. The last time we went in November was 2012 and we went the week after Thanksgiving...the beginning of the week was crowded which was to be expected but by mid/end of week it was nice.

From what I've heard the week after Thanksgiving and the first 2 weeks of December are prime times for DVC members to go to the parks. Most DVC members are experienced visitors, so that maybe why a lot of the in demand ADRs are taken early.

I also think the free dining has a lot to do with ADRs not being available. I think more people are lining up TS meals that may not necessarily do so if they did not have the Free Dining...at least that is what I'm telling myself

TP still have the crowds at 3's and 4's, I'm hoping the difficulty to get ADRs is not a reflection of the crowds. I honestly think the ADR thing has a lot to do with Free Dining. I think a lot of people that may not normally do TS meals are doing it because they have the Dining Plan to do it, so the ADRs are booked. Well, at least that is what I keep telling myself. Our plan of attack regardless of the crowds will be: Be there at Opening and knock out as many rides as well can. If it's too crowded then I'm always good with taking an afternoon break.

I have friends that go every other year during September (after school starts...no kiddos for them), and the crowds are awesome. She would send me pictures of practically empty sections of the parks (just to rub it in).

Re: Crowds, Sorry girls, I hate to be a Debbie Downer, but I don't think it's just ADRs. Disney's resorts are pretty much full, too. For about a month now, anytime a client comes in looking for a Disney hotel in October or November, it's been next to impossible for me to find them any availability most of the time. And I heard that this September, the parks had record attendance for that time of year. I'm pretty nervous about my historically VERY quiet first part of December now, too.

I'm super interested to hear how the crowds are for you next week, Mo, since I know that the week before Thanksgiving (when you're going) and the 2 weeks after Thanksgiving (when I'm going) are historically a very quiet weeks crowd-wise. Please check-in when you can, or once you're home!

Which is the whole reason i picked this week LOW CROWDS! who told people about it? LOL
We did the same week in 2011 it was WONDERFUL. now? im scared!!!
