I am a Disney veteran, with probably close to 75 trips under my belt. So far, I am figuring out fastpass+, but it's been a little maddening. A few learnings and a few questions:

1.) If you have multiple people in your group and you want to make all of their fastpass+ reservations, do not invite them to share via my Disney experience. Once they agree, they have to control their fastpass+ reservations. They can see yours and copy your times, but they physically have to do it. NOt the best scenario for non internet savvy folks (especially with Disney IT)

2.) Everyone has to have tickets already and they have to be linked

3.) So far, fastpass+ is not offering me the most ideal time cohort. If I try to make only one time, it adds two other non desirable rides. If I choose all three, the most desirable ride, even if I give it the top priority, is showing latest in the day and always after lunch. Hmmmmm, keep em in the park for lunch. It's a conspiracy!:)

Questions:

1.) How is it going for those who have magic bands but wait until you get to the park to do fast passes (assuming I show at rope drop). Are you getting early times or all of those taken by fastpass+

2.) It seems like it might be easier to do it that way as everyone is together and I don't have to worry about getting non family members involved in the linking process. True or false?

3.) I am going in October, so I am not overly concerned about it, as usually when I go then there are only a few rides that it is critical to fastpass. Just wondering if tings have changed that dramatically for us early risers..........or, if you can still ride most rides at this time of year just by getting out of bed.

Thanks, see you at Food & Wine, again haha

This is not correct. Once you link you will both have access to making FP+ for each other. For example, I am linked with my friend. She manages the accounts for her family of four. I manage the accounts for my family of four plus five others who are traveling with us. Both my friend and I can make FP+ reservations for our entire party or any subset of it.

Yup. And if you have a multi-day pass you will only be able to make FP+ selections for the number of days on your pass.

Just pick one of the selections and then go in and manually adjust the times. It isn't the easiest system, but it will get you the FP+ times you want.

Can't help with any of your questions but I'm sure another DISer will be able to.

Have a great trip!

I didn't realize there were any rides that were "critical" to fastpass, I just thought that was an AR-OCD entitlement thing. :lmao: :rotfl2: :rotfl:
Disney is getting busier as we move out of recession and more people are spending what they have ( or what they do not have ). It seems more people are going in what used to be the "off" times so they may get more value out of their vacation. (read: more stress and anxiety)
