I am not sure where else to put this so here it is............I am bringing my digital camera for the first time. I don't want to go and download pics at the store. I want to buy over 500MB worth of memory. My question is this... Should I buy one compact flash card with 512MB or 2 with 256MB? Is there a difference in one card or 2? Is it better to have 2 in case of damage? Thanks for the help!!!:teeth: :teeth: :teeth: :teeth:

Do not put all your photos on one. How would you feel if the card went bad after you took let's say 3000 pic's.:earseek: You are better off buying smaller cards. I have at least 6 cards myself. and I also have a few prograhms to recover my lost or damage
cards.Just my 2cents.

I would also recommend at least 2 smaller cards. Besides, they're usually cheaper per megabyte than the largest cards.

I have 6 memory cards for my digital camera. I also take my laptop to download (and edit/delete) pictures at the end of each day.

How can you fit 3000 pics in a 512Mb card? I can only fit no more than 250 piccies (okay, 500 for lower-res piccies)
