Yes, More Digital Camera Questions

I am not sure where else to put this so here it is............I am bringing my digital camera for the first time. I don't want to go and download pics at the store. I want to buy over 500MB worth of memory. My question is this... Should I buy one compact flash card with 512MB or 2 with 256MB? Is there a difference in one card or 2? Is it better to have 2 in case of damage? Thanks for the help!!!

Do not put all your photos on one. How would you feel if the card went bad after you took let's say 3000 pic's. You are better off buying smaller cards. I have at least 6 cards myself. and I also have a few prograhms to recover my lost or damage
cards.Just my 2cents.

I would also recommend at least 2 smaller cards. Besides, they're usually cheaper per megabyte than the largest cards.

I have 6 memory cards for my digital camera. I also take my laptop to download (and edit/delete) pictures at the end of each day.

How can you fit 3000 pics in a 512Mb card? I can only fit no more than 250 piccies (okay, 500 for lower-res piccies)
