Fulton's Crab House
We were not really prepared for that one. It was MUCH fancier than I had expected, I believe if it was a Disney-owned place it would be one of their Signature Restaurants. Most people there were rather dressed up. We definitely were not.
Our ADR was for 9pm and we showed up at 8, hoping to get our table, since the CM on the phone had told me when I booked a week or so before our trip that the place was "wide open".
We waited an hour at the bar where Grumpy had a couple Bloody Marys, so she was a little woozy and we were both very hungry.
It's NOT the kind of place where people take pics of their food, but I did have to take one of Grumpy's. I was treating her that night, and darnit, I wanted a pic of that $51.95 "combo" to show on the DIS !
So here it is, Alaska King Crab Claws & Australia Lobster Tail - A Fulton's Crab House exclusive: 3/4 lb. king crab claws and charcoal grilled lobster tail, with red skin potatoes and drawn butter.
Judging by the groans that came from my mother as she was eating, I'd say she enjoyed it.
I had the mahi-mahi and a side of mushrooms as well, since I didn't know what the fish came with as it wasn't mentionned on the menu. For a reason - it came with nothing.
My fish was good, not better than Kona's though, but I had tremendous fun playing with the little "underwear" that came with my lemon. You know a place is fancy when even the lemon has panties.
It was a good dinner, and the setting is nice, however it IS pricy. It came up to about the same as our Cali Grill dinner back in December, pre-DDE discount, and we'd had appetizers, entrees and desserts.
But I don't know of any other place on Disney property where we could have gotten king crab claws and lobster.
We'd go back, but we'd dress up a little more this time!
Goofy's Candy Company
Stopped there after we were done dining and shopping, and I discovered what is now my favorite cookie in the World : a Mickey gingerbread cookie with chocolate ears! It's sooo good. I think you can even have it dipped and "make your own", but I loved it plain.
