I am renting points from a friend for next year and will be adding on the dining plan. She told me that I can add the park tickets on when we get there.

I know that if you purchase tickets at the gate, it is more than pre-purchasing them. Is adding your tickets onto your card the same as buying them at the gate? In other words, they are more expensive?

buying the tickets at wdw (or from disney directly) is more expensive, whether at the gate or at your resort.

buy your tickets ahead of time from undercover tourist or mapleleaftickets or whomever and save a little money. if you are only buying enough days on the tickets for this one trip, you can still have the resort add the tickets to your room key after you arrive

Ticket prices direct from Disney will be the same price regardless of where they were purchased.

You could look at authorized ticket sellers if you want to save so money on them.

All most any paper ticket can be transferred to your room key. This also applies to tickets purchase from ticket sellers.

Thank you so much. I have always booked packages directly with Disney. I know Undercover is legit, so if it is worth the savings, I will get them from them. Thanks again. :) For me, the convenience is worth paying more, but my in-laws are another story, so I have to accommodate everybody.

Okay, so if I order from Undercover Tourists or Maple Leaf, I have to go to the Magic Kingdom to have an park ticket created from it, correct? CRO told me they cannot do it upon check-in at the hotel.

Is it possible to have tickets ordered along with the booking and dining plan so that I can have everything on a single card?

I called Disney and they told me they cannot do this. Was the CM misinformed? I generally find that the people at the Dis know more about he processes than the people at CRO. :upsidedow

If you purchase from Undercover Tourist or Maple Leaf Tickets, they will send you actual paper tickets. You can use them as they are, or have them transferred to your room keys.

The tickets you get from Undercover tourist ARE tickets. You don't make a ticket from it.

And Cheshire Figment, a ticketing CM active on the boards, and other very knowledgeable people say that the concierge desk at your resort can put the ticket "on" the keycard. Not everyone who works at the concierge desk will have the knowledge, but you just find the one that does. :)

As for discounts...if you're buying directly from WDW, whether through their website or at the gate, the prices are the same (it's one way they are different from disneyland, as disneyland.com does run specials and discounts on the tickets you can't get at the gate). So for discounts you do want to go to the sellers like UCT and mapleleaf etc.

Go to mousesavers.com and sign up for their newsletter. On May 15th, the newsletter will arrive and contain a secret link to Undercover Tourist for a nice discount on Tickets. Without the mousesavers.com link, Undercover Tourist was a 5.3% discount. With it, it's a couple points more.

I work at IBM, and Disney offers all IBM employees the ability to buy tickets at 12% off. The website we login to is an official "http://tickets.disney.go.com/buy/************" website, so I bet many other companies get that same discount. I'd ask your family members who work at national companies if they get the same perk.

Good luck!

AAA has good prices as well, about same price as undercover tourist, a couple $$ more or less depending on the options (# of days or add ons).

AAA will also give you a parking ticket that can get you closer to the gate if you are driving!

Misinformed. I personally have had my UT tickets added to my KTTW card on more than one trip.

And yes, you can have both your dining entitlements and your park tickets on your KTTW card.
