Yellow luggage tags

Cast member told me yellow tags are no longer used for magical express. I was instructed to use the provided luggage tags filled out with name and address.

False, but I had a cast member tell me the same thing yesterday. Called DME and confirmed yellow tags are still used.

What cast member? Were you at the resort heading home? If so, then correct, you don't use the yellow tags on your trip home.

We leave in 5 days and 5 days ago added 3 more days to our stay at a different resort so today we received our yellow tags so I'd say they are still using them.

Well, that's some info that would have been helpful in your original post. It's likely too late for them to send the tags to you. You'll need to give the DME agent your luggage claim tickets when you arrive at the DME area

You need to call DME directly at (866) 599-0951 and make sure that you actually have a reservation. Do not call Disney's main number. If you ask, they may be able to send some tags to you before you leave, but I wouldn't count on it.

Did you talk to DME or just call the main number?
Did they send you yellow tags or were you calling to get them?
The yellow tags are not REQUIRED, but can be used. Is it possible you misunderstood that? Perhaps the CM said "They're not needed" which is true.

You shouldn't do that. It makes it much more likely that the tag will fall off. Just call DME and ask for an extra tag.

This...I called to get 3 more and the DME CM was awesome and the call was less than 5 minutes. We had them within the week.

As of February they still use them.
I just booked magical express the other day so I don't yet have them for my trip coming up in a few weeks but I expect to receive them.
However what the CM told you is perfectly acceptable to do if you don't have the yellow tags.
You hand the claim ticket to the magical express CM's and they will get it for you.

Pretty sure it specifically tells you NOT to do that.
If you don't have enough either call and get more sent to you or give the claim ticket to a magical express CM.

Using Magical Express for the first time and have not heard about yellow tags. Do they send them internationally - we are flying from the UK?
