We just don't know which loved one will ever be the one in need. I guess informed decisions and a lot of faith helps, at least that's what did it for us. Always thrilled to know speak with a recipient or family member. What we as organ donors do isn't "selfless" - we akin it to giving away a piece of clothing that is in great shape but is no longer needed. We aren't "heroes" either - save that for those who are in emergency services or the military - they deserve it. We just thought about organ donation and made the decision, then when the time came, the answer was there. God bless them and their donor families.
Insanely Mickey - It's always so exciting to pay that final amount! I can't wait til our documents arrive for 12/12, but it's a little far off yet (40 days!). I don't feel the need to try to contain myself. Before my Dad passed on and Mom moved here (I'm an only child), all our vacations (military leaves - actually) were trips to upstate NY to visit them. Now I am NOT complaining because they were/are worth the trips and upstate New York - sheesh, that's my heaven on earth! But now that she's here, our oldest son is on his own, and we have our dearest son Michael (7) still home - hey, let's get out and see/do/ party!
4cruisin - That extra day at sea - yes! yes! Yes! Although I always like to stay on the ship even when we are in port - that Vista Spa should just have my name on a door!
Enjoy calm seas, blue skies and great times with new friends!
