Also on board is my new Canon ZR65 Digital Videocamera nicknamed: Handycam, as it was always in my hand.
PLAN FOR THE DAY:
1. Enjoying PORS in a.m.
2. Boatwrights for Breakfast
3. MGM (Part 2)
4. Dinner at Hollywood & Vine (Part 2)
5. Epcot & Mission Space (Part 3)
6. Oops now I'm sick and dizzy (Part 3)
Ringy, Ding, dong - Mickey is just insisting that I get my but out of bed and its only 8:00 a.m. I decided way ahead of time that today would be a late day at the parks and that my true day wouldn't start until about noon. I decided that I would spend some time in the pool this morning. So pre-breakfast consisted of some pretzels and coke - yummy. So off to the pool I go, BTW, its sunny and heading to 85 degrees today with a heat index of about 90.
The pool area had a few people already staking out seats and bringing breakfast to tables but no large crowd. There were a few people who had the general idea I did and were having a swim. So in the pool I went . Now I am a natural floater, so I am just floating around looking at the trees and thinking that its a normal Monday back at home and everyone is sitting in traffic heading to work - Wow I'm on vacation and have it really good. As I had a breakfast PS at Boatwrights, I decided that at 9:20 it was a good time to head back to the room. The Mousekeeper hadn't been in yet so I go ahead an take my bath and am ready for breakfast at 10:10.
I walked over toward the main building and entered in the side entrance right infront of Boatwrights Dining Hall. I was right on time for my ps for 10:15. There were two families that were waiting for a table and I was instucted that there may be a 10 minute wait. Both families were seated within 5 minutes and another lady had walked up and began to talk to the hostess. This lady had showed up at 10:20 for her 10:30 ressie and was instructed that she would have a wait. At this point the waitress was signaling to me to follow her. The lady standing in front of the hostess had started to ball the hostess out because she had a PS and they should've had a table waiting for her and her family. Now I was just being seated not to far away from behind the hostess station and it was about 10:25. This lady sat there fussing with the hostess up until 10:35 going on about not being seated immediately. The hostess had enough and informed her that there was a food court if her family needed to eat at a certain time. At this point the waitress came up and introduced herself and started a seperate conversation so I never heard what the last word was but her family wasn't lead in to eat.
Anyway, I decided as I was very hungry to order a large chocolate milk, fruit cup and the Crescent City Toast. Chocolate Milk and fruit cup were served immediately. About 7 minutes later the waitress brought this huge plate of food and my mouth fell open. The crescent toast is huge, 3 very large pieces of toast with about 7 strips of bacon. I was totally full when I left at about 11:10.
For some strange reason, I decided that I had some time on my hands and decided to rent a bike and bike my way around PORS to get some nice photos. So over to the bike rental area I go. 5 minutes later, I have a bike and the CM has my room charge to hold (rental for an hour is $7.61 - I asked if you can rent for 24 hour period and was told no the bike would have to be back by 5:00 p.m.). I then proceed to bike all over the property filming the various Alligator Bayou homes as well as the other Mansion homes. I also biked over towards the FQ area but it was blocked off; however, you could see that plenty of refurbishing was still undergoing as the side of the French Quarter that faces Riverside had rows and rows of box springs and mattresses waiting to be brought in to the rooms. Off to the bike barn I head to return the bike. Well I must have only had the bike for 35 minutes and the CM only charged me $4.51 for the bike rental.
Next I decide its time to go to MGM so walked to bus station at the main front depot right when the MGM bus pulled up and before I knew it, it was noon and I was at MGM.
