Year of Doing Stuff We've Never Done

Yeah that ride is pretty wild. The part where the queen flips to the old hag.:scared1:

That's it.

Have you done Aladdin?

What about if you go on to all the rides with pictures and you just make KooKY faces in all of them? I know in our ToT picture there is a guy who looks like his is doing his nails right in the front.

Have you found the secret targets on Buzz yet? Better yet, have you hit them?

We did the both Aladdin shows and like the one in Disneyland much better. I dunno something about the one in CA Adventures just wasn't so great. DH and I have a picture of us on Space Mountain kissing. It was very hard to manuever that but we did it. Lately we've been doing the kachow point at the cameras. :rotfl2: I am gonna have to look for the secret targets on Buzz. I actually need to practice. I am terrible at it... LOL!:rotfl:

GAH! Sheesh, I'm still as scared of it as I was when I was a kid. That's a really good pic.

Once, a very nice French lady asked me if I thought Snow White was too scary for her little girl to ride. The kid was already crying and clearly did not want to go on. I told her that it was scary, even for some adults. She gave a me a very subtle French sneer and took her kid on anyway. I got off of it afterward and there they were at the exit, la fille screaming her lungs out in terror and la maman clearly regretting her decision. Heh.

Watch Fantasmic! (when it comes back in the spring) from the sides of the island, instead of from the center. The view of the actors taking their places on the island is best from the HM/smoking section; the view of the Columbia, monkey and princess floats and the Mark Twain coming on with lights off is best from the Frontierland side.

Watch the nightly fireworks from as close to the hub as possible. When you get to the HM "stretching room" part of the narration ("Is this haunted room actually stretching?"), turn around to look at the crowd standing on Main Street. The little O's people make with their mouths as they say "OOH!" is a nice sight to behold.

Watch the fireworks from aboard the BTMRR.

Watch the fireworks from Frontierland, near the Golden Horseshoe. It's much less crowded, but they still pipe in the narration and fireworks still go off around you. The rock spire from BTMRR makes a nice foreground foil for the 'works.

Another great alternate spot for watching fireworks is from IASW. However, I'm not 100% sure they will still be using the facade for projections during the major refurb.

I almost always watch fireworks from the hub.... I never thought to watch em from Frontierland...

My husband loves The Laughing Stock Company. He makes us stop and watch all the time, but then usually tries to get one of the kids or me selected to participate. This last time it backfired on him and got elected to be the town drunk. Funniest thing, I laughed for hours afterwards.

I second the corn dogs, a staple for Disneyland visitors.

Push is sometimes in Disneyland hear the rockets and usually makes his way towards space mountain.

We went to the Mark Twain late in the afternoon and had no problem getting up to rid with the captain. My son loved it.

We do a lot of sitting on benches and watching people walking around.

I think I am gonna see if we can get to ride with the captain... DH has never been on the Mark Twain...

I was just on the Community Board and someone was asking about MouseAventure. Why don't you do that? You can find details on Mouse Planet.

I think I am gonna try. I have a friend who has done it a few times and had a blast. My only problem is they usually do it on a Sunday and I work on Mondays. But I would like to eventually do it :)

Billy Hill & the Hillbillies at the Golden Horseshoe
Aladdin & Jasmine's Storytime Adventure
visit all the different areas of Animation Studio
Drawn to the Animation in DCA
Golden Dreams in DCA (if you are interested in CA history -- never done this one myself)
Watch the flag retreat ceremony
Ride the double decker bus down Main Street
Listen to the piano player at Coke Corner
Listen to the Dapper Dans
watch Mickey climb the Matterhorn
look for PUSH (talking trashcan) in DCA
Watch the trash can band in Tomorrowland
Watch Jedi Training Academy in Tomorrowland
ASIMO and Stitch in Innoventions
The ones in bold are things we've taken the time out to do since we got our APs. We also did the Nestle cookie baking last time. It was fun and it's so nice to do all sorts of little things that we normally would never take the time to do.

I wasn't very impressed with Innoventions. However Golden Dreams was entertaining and I'd suggest it for people maybe who don't have young ones. Its not scary or anything but could be boring for little ones :)

My kids LOVED the Nestle Baking experience, the Redwood Creek Challenge Trail, and Pirates Lair. Jedi Training Academy was awesome and one of my sons was picked to participate. Even as an adult, I had a blast watching Darth Maul battle the kids! Disney Animation is really fun too.

Question--how do you get to see Mickey climb the Matterhorn?
