Year of a Million Dreams

Anyone else been reading the reports from WDW about the cast members making peoples visits extra special?? There have been some great ones recently I know it's to help folks celebrate the Year of a Million Dreams but it's really heart warming to read about.Let's keep our fingers crossed that some of us see or experience something wonderful when we are there

I always experience something wonderful when I'm there - its called magic

There were a lot of people with dream fastpasses and being made 'guest of the day' on particular rides when it started a couple of weeks ago

I have really been enjoying the stories that people have posted, its a really nice choice of celebration this year, definately gives me something to possibly look forward to next week, still I'd be happy for anyone that had something happen.

We always have a magical trip too but it really is fantastic when something unexpected and extraordinary happens to another family, the CMs really are pushing out the boat for this and it shows

On September 6th this year it was our last day of our holiday and it was also our dd's 11th birthday. We took her to the bibidi bobidi boutique first thing in the morning to get her hair done as a total surprise. Then we were on our mission to go to every park to pick up the birthday badges they give out. While we were at MGM it was time for the parade so we found a good spot and sat down to wait. One of the cast members came over and said happy birthday to DD and we got talking about everything and anything. He had to go but about 2 mins later another cm came over and asked how we were and did we want to be the VIP family of the day. We could not believe our luck as we never expected this to ever happen to us. As we were walking to the VIP area in the shade to watch the parade the cm we had been taking to earlier gave us a thumbs up and then we knew he had put this together.
We watched the parade and every character said happy birthday to my dd and when ligtning came by he reved his engine at us to the delight of my ds.
After the parade had finished we were taken into the VIP lounge at the back of guest relations to have drinks and cool off. We were also given a cirtificate as a keepsake saying that the Sinclair family were the VIP's on 6/9/2006.

We will never forget it as long as we live.
