Kathy stop making me CRY!!!!!! He's so lucky to have a mom like you, who can look past the problems nobody asked for and love him just the same! We have a friend of the family who's oldest son has DS and they treat him sooo bad. They're not mean to him, but they ignore him alot and it makes me so sad! We lost touch with them and haven't seen them in years, but I worry about him all the timeeeyoresmountainpals said:I read that poem all the time.
It's so weird. There was a movie on tv in the late fall of 1988. The name of the movie was "Kids Like These." My mom was living with DH, DD and I and she wanted to see the movie but I didn't. So I told her to watch it in the living room 'cause there was a better tv in there and I'd go in our bedroom. (DD was already in bed and DH was at work.) Right after the movie started I walked through the living room on my way to the kitchen to get a drink. I glanced at the tv and then leaned on the back of the recliner and stood there watching it. After a little while my mom said I might as well sit down and watch it. I watched the rest of it and never even got up to get my drink. I was glued to the tv. It was the story of the life of the mom that wrote that poem! What was so weird was that I was about
7-1/2 months pregnant with A.J....and we didn't know A.J. had Down Syndrome. Once he was born I had to find the poem and have always pulled strength and comfort from it!

While being independently wealthy would be very nice, I would settle for being debt free....oh, to not have a mortgage would be wonderfulsomeday...in about 20+ years
