I just bought my first new car and I'm sooooo excited!:dance3: I bought a 2007 silver Saturn Aura XR with 2 miles on it:woohoo: and I am totally in love with it!! Does anyone else out there own a Aura? If so, what do you like best about it? I also found out that it's only going to cost $80.00 a month for full coverage on the car. I've waited so long and worked so hard to finally get a car like this. Not only do I love this car but, the whole car buying experience was awsome. Yea!!!  I'm soooo happy!!:cool1:

Congratulations!!! I remember my first new car..  ...Such an exciting time...

We bought a new one last month, for a second car, and I love the smell, when I get a chance to drive it ;)

Aw, that is awesome! You need to post a pic of your new 'baby'!

Good luck with it and drive carefully!

don't know about that model-but we've owned 2 saturns and loved both. fyi-if you ever have a problem with the car thats not covered by the warranty call up saturn's big office and ask if they've had any reports of similar problems with your model-they track all the repairs from their authorized repair places and have a program where if they see a trend with problems they will sometimes authorize your repair place to do the repairs at no cost or very reduced (with one of ours they only charged for the parts-no labor).

I don't have an Aura but I have had 3 saturns and I loved them! I only switched because I needed a mini van adn they didn't offer one. I kept my old 1999 as a knock around station car and its still running great with no problems the whole 8 years since I bought it! I love their service too. One time my other saturn had to go in for some warrenty work (rubber weather stripping replaced around the doors and a motor mount) and I was there a while, while they were ordering lunch for themselves they came over and ordered and paid for my lunch too! The other thing aout htere service was that I took it in for an oil change (they gave me 3 years of free oil changes when I bought the car) they gave me a note saying the weatherstripping needed to be replaced and the motor mount, I never would have even realized it, I figured it was normal wear on the rubber. I take my car to chevy or dodge for warrenty work and they put blinders on and only look at what I am complaining about and only fix that if I am lucky that day!

Congrats!

We had one as a rental from National when we were at Disney a few weeks ago. I loved the way it handled. It is a really sharp looking car!

Happy driving:drive:

Peace,
Colleen

Nothing like the new car smell. :thumbsup2

Does Saturn really do that no haggle pricing?

Congrats to the OP! I have a Saturn ION Quad Coupe and still love it after almost 4 years! I have looked at the AURA, and it is such a sharp-looking car!

Regarding the no haggle policy -- it is true! It's supposed to depend on the dealer, but I think most of them choose to follow the no haggle policy. I practically had to beg my salesperson to let me buy the car! What was on the sticker is what the price was based on, but they even FOUND discounts for me! In the end, I paid $1500 less than sticker. The salesperson told me that they make the same commission no matter what car you buy or what features the car has, so there is no pressure on them to try to sell all kinds of features the buyer doesn't really need.

Truly a pleasant car-buying experience. It was the first time I purchased a car, but I was there when my grandfather bought my previous car and remember him haggling. Also, just test driving other cars was not a pleasant experience for me. In one case, I knew more about the car than the salesperson did!

Yes, they do! Every sterotype I have ever had about a car sales man has made me think twice. The reason why I say this is, because every experience in the past has been very unplesent (trying to sell me something I don't want and so on.) I did have an old saturn and don't get me wrong it was still a great car but I just wanted something brand new and at first I didn't think I was going to be able to afford it but things just worked out. Not only did the salesman spend time with us answering all of our questions but so did the finance gal. We got there at 6:30pm, they close at 7:00pm and we didn't get out of there until 11:45pm and most of that time was because we were having such a great time with these just talking. NOTE: They did most of the talking!!:hyper2: but towards the end of the night I was like, can we just sign the rest of the papers PLEASE!! I'm so tired. anyhow, This experience was great and will go back there in the future if I ever need another car but until now, I'll be paying on this car for awhile but I perfectly happy with that!!:)

They do the no haggling pricing but there is room to play. I had a trade in and I wanted more for the trade in than they offered so they threw in a CD player, 3 years of free oil changes and a free alarm which sealed the deal for me.
