Ann....no schools in Maine...we have a few good ones..some in my back yard.....Like Bates College and Bowdoin College and Colby and University of Maine in Orono....well that is a wee bit up there....but the rest are around here.....

Pumba, Bates seems to be a popular choice among Concord High students the lst couple of years.
Yea, Orono is "up there" and with DH a UNH grad and me a BC grad, and all of us hockey fans, I don't think DD would EVER be a Black Bear but you never know!!!
Have not looked into Colby or Bowdoin very closely...isn't Bowdoin pretty far up there too????

So people, are we moving tonite or what?????????

and Bowdoin is about a half hour ...right near Bath and Brunswick.....both very good colleges....you are right with the Hockey problem here......my son was the University of Maines Bananas the bear.....he and his frat brothers ....it was a service fraternity and they did the mascot thing ....he would skate with this heavy big huge costume on for all the time the rest periods were.....my daughter did University of Southern Maine .....thank goodness no hockey...our town is a big hockey city......big time......

I read somewhere here....that when you go thru security...they won't set it off but if they were to use the wand thingie on you for some reason...that would detect them.

I won't be here tomorrow night. BC/UNH hockey..........for first place in the regular season ....at UNH Now, if BC had only won tonight, at home , they'd have clinched it. But NOOOOOOOOOOOOO they let UNH tie it up with less than a minute left and it ends in a tie after a 5 minute OT. SHEESH!!!!!!!!!!!!!! So if UNH wins tomorrow night at home it is a tie in points but UNH wins the tie-breaker funky record thingie technicality. And I have to live with the gloating of Dh (and 7000 other UNH fans). It will be tough for BC to win at UNH. It's insane there. aaaaaaaarrrrrrrgggggghhhhhhhh!

I'm willing to start packing some boxes tonite, and taking down the curtains and stuff........

but DD wants to get back on her at 10...so I have 10 minutes to help move if we are doing it tonite!
Saint Pooh-pooh...if you are willing to start the new thread now , we can tidy up here and PM a mod to lock the door in the next 10 mintes!! Or I would be happy to start bright and early in the morning with the move I just want our founder to shut off the lights here and turn them on at the new one
