hi......I'm checking in after a bad day :(......to make a long story short, ended up taking my dad to the ER where we spent 4 hours this afternoon...instead of visiting with my mom at the nursing home. Good news that hopefully it is only a urinary tract infection. Pretty scary for him with the symptoms he was having (after a benign prostate grwoth 18 mos ago  ) and for me walking in to his house this morning and finding him sick and "befuddled" as he calls it :(. . He was catherized and then blood work and endless wait for results.....but released to go home, picked up antibiotic, he has to f/u with his urologist Monday and return to ER if feeling worse before then........ Sigh. This may sound weird but I knew it would be OK when I used the rest room in the ER waiting area and found not one but TWO pennies on the floor. Dad had gotten a call from the nursing home early in the day that mom had fallen out of bed and was "fine" (they put pads on the floor by her bed, she has a tendency to bypass her bed rails and attempt to get out of bed in the middle of the night..."forgetting" that she needs her whellchair or walker.) ANYHOOOOOOOOO ...SHE's fine and I think he will be too...and I think that's what the two lucky pennies were about. I'm rambling........I'm tired.......came home and had pizza nd a glass (or 2 ) of wine and taped Ice Wars to "look for myself" tomorrow....now I'm going to bed.

Hello!
Ann- sorry to hear about your Dad, hope he feels better fast!
Well, we started getting our decorations out today. Got a few things done in the house and went out to buy more lights, now we just have to hang the lights tomorow! I can't wait, I love all the lights!
Hope everyone is having a great weekend and staying warm!

Good Morning All,

Bunches of {{{HUGS}}} to you Ann!!! Glad that in the end all turned out well.

ICE WARS - I was asleep by 8:00... Must be this cold weather..or old age sinking in...

I also slept through the FSU/FL game... Something of which we never miss....Happy to have woken up to an FSU victory this am...:D I guess I just have not been into it too much this year...

One of the first comments that my Dad made after waking up when he was talking about how some things just aren't as important as they used to be was...."Who cares if the Gators win a football game" I guess I am on that save wave length this year as well. But still happy for a victory...Especially in the light of the fact that the rumors are abound that Bobby Bowden will annouce that he is retiring this year. Very sad day for Seminole fans...

Ok, well enough rambling...

Every one have a wonderful day and you guys are the all so wonderful!!!

sorry to hear about your Dad.
PD being sent for him and you

Funny about the pennies

I watched Ice Wars last night....well sort of....we were decorating our tree at the same time so I sat to watch the ones that I wanted to watch. Loved Scott Hamilton's last golfing performance :) Could not see the audience tho....very dark at least on my TV anyway. Justin was watching for you too :) he asked me what color you were wearing :teeth:
And Jerry asked...is John there too??? He wants to now..does he like skating or did you drag him there :teeth:
Sort of felt like you guys were with us in the room while decorating our tree :teeth:

I think I'll be shopping again today...of course, what else
you all have a good day.
I gotta go track my internet orders

good morning Teri...you weren't there when I walked into the room

Just popping in to say hi before I leave for work. Ya'll have agreat Sunday!

No Debbie, John did not want to go...though I do drag him to our annual Stars On Ice outing to Portland ME in April ;) He likes that show though...well enough not to complain and he seems to enjoy the overnight getaway. Hard to explain, the caliber of the "production" on that tour is just far better than the other shows/tours.
DD and I went to Ice Wars with my sister ---not the %&%#@! sister, the "good" one heehehe. Meghan and I both wore white/off white to try to stand out...my sister had a white turtleneck and a bright red blazer. I think I glimpsed us a few times...pretty sure I saw my sister during Surya Bonaly's second number...I taped the show but haven't gone back to watch/pause/scrutinize .
It was fun doing your tree with you LOL ;)
DD came home from a visit with her father's family (she left Friday morning and came in around 11 today). She was only home long enough to unpack, shower (her dad has an extended family of smokers...yuck...her HAIR smelled ) and she did an hour of homework now she's off to the Celtics game in Boston with her boyfriend's parents! what a life! John and I went to an "Agway" store nearby (lawn/garden/farming supply type place) just now and and bought a Xmas tree off the lot in 10 minutes flat! Not bad.
But now, alas, I must go do the grocery shopping which I had planned to do yeterday late afternoon but never got home in time to do .........

Hello All,

I actually went into the MALL today. Got there at 10AM...very light crowd as only JCPenney's was open...

Almost completely done with Christmas shopping after 1 and half hours at the mall...:D

Savannah when asked what she really wanted for Christmas...told us an AP!!!!:D Little does she know she is getting a one week trip to the world starting December 26....:D It has been so hard keeping this a secret...At one point we thought that we would have cancel when my Dad was so ill. But hopefully we are heading down....I wanted to keep it a secret till we left for the world....but I don't think that it will be possible...so I am planning to get a big box and put her AP in it....icing on the cake she will get the Karoke as well.....

Now I need to transcribe a bit.....and then back to decorating...I can't seem to get the decorations the way I want this year.....Only one tree up so far....that is my living room tree or my tribute to Disney tree....Last year I thought it was so perfect...this year...I am having a tough time with it...aarrgghh!!!

Ok, hope everyone is having a nice day....

yea, me too!!!

if I put up 4 trees. I'd have to move out  where do you put them all Teri?

Hello,

Just finished typing....Note to self....(DON"T WAIT TILL THE LAST MINUTE< STUPID!!!!!!) hehehe

No time for decorating tonight...

4 trees....It all started last year...hehehe When I looked out side and our house looked lop sided...2 trees on one side....

So, we have a tree in our bedroom, Savannah's bedroom (I have always had a tree for her all in pink), living room, and dining room. Today George bought a 4 and 1.2 foot tree for our bedroom so we could place it on the table that we put up there this year. Last year we had a 6 foot in the bedroom.. There are also two 24 inch ceramic trees which I made years ago...one goes in the kitchen and one in the living room on the side coffee table....and one 2 foot tree in the computer room...(George says he does not want it in the computer room this year....but I am trying) hahahahahah

We also decorated outside with garland and lights. Our house is a two story brick Colonial, so the trees look pretty in the windows and the garland outside kind of gives a Victorian look. I did notice that the trees out in front have grown up on the windows this year, so I am not sure how much you can see from the outside. I love this house at Christmas...It is so cool....

Ok, enough about that....hahahaha

of course, I will be the Mommy....Now you all get to WDW on December 26 or I will put you on restriction...;)

Well, off to bed for me....

Everyone have a great Monday...

Ann, Ann, Ann ... sorry to hear about, and hope all ok in the long run... :(

Hope that all had a nice Thanksgiving, and not TOO much shopping... ;)

SSB will NEVER do again... and think that SSB is on the "bad" list at "Best Buy"... ack!!!!

Er, um... also... don't do 250 push ups with the kids running around and sitting on you, hurts like heck in day two... haha!

:)

Serves me right.. ;)

Hope all had a good Sunday!
Terri- your house sounds beautiful! You should post pics when the decorating is all done!
We finally started hanging lights about 10 minutes ago. Will probably have to finish tomorow though a my Mickey head is out in the storage shed. (Last year we made one of the Mickey heads like the ones in the Osboune lights at MGM.)
Goodnight and have a great morning!

goodness...3 pages to catch up on!!!

ann...glad to hear all is well with your folks...

teri...your house sounds like mine will...assuming we ever get a house!! i love christmas decorations!! we only have room for one big tree, but i do have a small tabletop tree that i bought new ornaments and stuff for this year. it sits on an end table in the living room. i have snowflake window clingy things in the (duh!) windows...we have 4 stockings hanging from our mantle...one for me, one for matthew, and then two little ones for our cat, dusty, and then (don't laugh!) another one for my stuffed dalmatian matthew got me from build a bear last year. (i used to have 2 dalmatians but lost "custody" of them in the divorce...it was heartbreaking and matthew "built" me a dalmatian last year and named her after my real one) and then we bought a candleabra thing to go on the mantle...but that's all we have room for in our tiny apartment...

we braved the crowds the day after thanksgiving...it was actually fun! we stayed overnight at my mom and dad's this year so that we could get up and go with my mom and dad. mom and i set off to walmart...i was after the 4 pack of power tools for matthew. it was only $50!! it has the basics...a cordless screwdriver, a drill, a sander, and a jigsaw. matthew has been going insane without tools. he wants to build shelves and stuff for our place, but can't do it cuz he doesn't have the right tools. so i saw this in the ads and decided to get it for him. the only other thing we wanted we made the guys get. it was a 63 piece mechanics toolset for my brother. we had already gotten him one a few weeks ago, but it was the smaller one and it was $30. when i saw this one, we decided that we would try to get the bigger one (also $30) and then take back the other one if we were successful. we were!! matthew and dad got to sears a little after 6am and snagged one. then they headed to jcpenny and dad got mom the little snowglobe. we had forgotten about them! i didn't realize that was what dad had in his pocket...and then on our way home, matthew decided that he wanted to give me one of my presents early. he said that he just couldn't wait until christmas for it. so when we got home, he gave me one of the mickey snowglobes!! it's now sitting on the shelf with my other snowglobes. :)

then we went came home and did nothing all day saturday. lounged around the apartment, watched tv...(fell asleep before ice wars though  )

then on sunday...got up, went and had lunch at cheesecake factory...then got to go to an Indianapolis Colts football game! it was my first NFL game...how exciting!! matthew won 2 tickets at work last week...they were club seats...we got the 2 tickets and a parking pass...we had access to our own concessions, plus a full bar, etc. it was awesome!! and the colts actually played a great game!! i'm glad that the tickets were free for us...there's no way that i would willingly pay $150 per ticket for these...the seats were great, but i can think of lots of other things to spend $300 on...

hey teri...i would gladly take an AP for christmas too!! i've been a good girl all year...:teeth:

k...i suppose i should do something work related here...i'm sure i'll be back later!! have a good day!!

Hello everyone! Hope everyone is having a good afternnon! I'm getting ready to go pick up the report from the accident a couple of weeks ago. It is finally ready and his insurance called today and he never sent them a copy of it (probably b/c he was still trying to lie and blame me:mad: ) so I gave them the witness info and said I'd fax the report to them by tomorow so they can get the investigation done and get my car fixed.
Ya'll have a great afternoon and I'll probably be back sometime tonight (have to work at 5).

Hey everyone. WAKE UP!!! Is everyone in hiding or in somewhere warm, etc?? I am at work and everyone else is out having fun or whatever? :(

Cookie - see you in 3 days!!!! :Pinkbounc
