YE-HA!! Got 7 day SUV rental for $140 TOTAL!

I just checked Alamo's rates again (for about the 20th time!) and I got the lowest rate I've found yet! From 9/27-10/4 (7 days) I got a standard SUV with all the requisite add-ons (taxes, etc) for $140.24. I'm also planning on pre-paying the day before we leave, which should give us an ADDITIONAL $19 off, bringing it down to a few cents over $120!!

My reservation is for the STANDARD SUV, not the smaller one that they have. It lists 4 adults, one child, 4 large suitcases, and 3 small suitcases. That's plenty of space for the four us (2 adult, 2 DD's-8 & 10)!

I've never used close to a 1/4 tank of gas with a mini van.....I can't imagine even a standard SUV would use that much. So, unless they are driving everywhere...it shouldn't be this much money

I doubt it. We are basically staying on property, with a 1/2 day trip into Orlando to see a couple of attractions (TrainWorld and possibly Holy Land). There is no way we'll use a full tank of gas.

low rates for minivans are showing up if you use the ecoupon link on the alamo site and use the Walmart Rate Code BY and ID# 428448

for example a minivan from 9/23 - 9/30 is coming up $149 including tax!!

too bad i'm going 8 days...makes the price jump.

well i don't want to chance being denied my code stack at the counter so i found a bj's coupon (i'm a member) and got a std SUV for $177.37 for 8 days (9/23-10/1)

it worked out to be the same price as the minivan i had with the questionable code mixing.

still about $60 cheaper than my original national ressie

They are not multiple discounts. You need all three codes to get the discount.

I've never rented from Alamo before, and I'm planning on renting a car for one day, but if I could get a rate like OP got, I'd get it for the whole week! Where does one find these codes, etc that you're all talking about? Any suggestions?

Thank you so much for posting this! We got the rate too - saved us $60. But I did go ahead and get the Savings Subscription for the online Entertainment book to use that coupon. I was worried they would want a paper coupon. It's a 10 day free trial and $3.99 per month.
