We have heard horror stories about the bus transportation to MK, AK, and Downtown Disney from the YC/BC. Years ago it seemed like ages by the time the bus went to the Boardwalk, Swan, Dolphin and finally Yacht Club and then Beach Club. Has anyone experienced it lately?

We've stayed at the POR and POFQ where the bus goes to both resorts and it isn't that bad. But, I have to admit, I really like the AKL bus route since it only goes to the AKL.

Any opinions are much appreciated.

We stayed at YC last Dec. 25-30 and I found the bus transportation to be really bad. This was our first stay at the YC and I was surprised at the bus situation. We have stayed at WL, Poly, AKL, GF, BWI and POR so I have experiences at WDW with the buses. Maybe my luck just wasn't good and others find the buses to be OK at YC.

The walk to Epcot and boat to MGM were nice though.

I think it depends on when you go. Last June we stayed at the Boardwalk and shared buses with the Swan and Dolphin. The Yacht and Beach clubs had their own buses. Only the DTD buses went to all five resorts.
If you plan on spending most of your time at either the MK or AK you are probably better off staying somewhere else. However, if you plan on spending most of your time at either Epcot or the Disney Studios the Epcot resorts are terrific. You can walk or both to either park very easily.

We just returned from the BC (shares busses with the YC) on Saturday.

The bus service to DTD is just awful really no matter which resort you stay at. I thought the bus service from the BC was worse than any of the other resorts we have stayed at.

To DTD you made 3 other stops besides your home resort which is disgusting considering the price that these resorts charge. We got lucky and caught the 1st bus out of DTD after Cirque one night. The lines were horrible! Same thing at the MK during EMH hours one evening.

We did the bus service for our Cirque night but took the rental car later in the week when we went to DTD for shopping. It is a quick drive and easy parking so I would definitley take the rental car if you have it to DTD.
