YC Standard Views

Do most of the standard rooms at the YC have views of the parking lot and utility areas? The Unofficial Guide recommends against standard rooms at the BC because many of those rooms overlook the parking lots. I noted, however, the that Unofficial Guide did not have the same warning for the YC. Any feedback is appreciated!

We had a standard view in the YC last December and did indeed overlook the parking lot and convention center roof. I'd have to say that a majority of the rooms on the back side of the resort would have the same exact view. It's my understanding that for a standard, you want to request a view of the wedding gazebo.

I want to try one of the Epcot resorts, but each one seems to have a small drawback. Many YC and BC rooms have views of the parking lots and utility spaces. I like the rooms at BW, but the Luna Park pool looks so "plastic" that it leaves me cold. I also do not want to overlook the Boardwalk.

I really enjoy garden views and find them to be more interesting than water views. The cheaper rate helps too.
