YC or WL??? I just don't know?!?!?

We are looking at going in October but don't know which resort to stay at. We are looking at either the YC Waterview or the WL Woods/Bunkbeds. Our kids will be 9 and 8 so walking isn't a problem. So any suggestions or hints would be really appreciate it.

Wow! 2 totally different resorts in 2 different areas!

WL is a boat ride away from MK, and it's a beautiful resort. The kids would prob love the bunk beds. It's also cheaper then YC. But rooms are a bit smaller too. WL is one of our fav resorts. Love the lobby, grounds, marina- (we like renting SeaRaycers)and walking trail to FW along the lake, so pretty.

YC has SAB, walking distance to Epcot and DHS, rooms are a bit larger, with 2 queens and a day bed, so the kids don't have to share a bed if they don't want to.
One downside IMO is that YC has no food court. You can walk to BC, they have a small CS in the back of their gift shop, The Marketplace.

October will be our first stay at BC, but SAB convinced us that this is where we want to be.

Do you plan on spending more time at one park or another? If so, BC is a walk away from both Epcot and HS, and WL is closer to MK. Both are beautiful.

SAB = Storm Along Bay -- it is the very elaborate pool at YC/BC.

I have stayed at both and would hands down choose YC. I love the ability to walk into EPCOT -- cannot be beat!

SAB= Stormalong Bay. Its the pool/slide/lazy river at BC.

Ever consider a split stay?

A split stay as the previous poster recommended could be an option, but I'd only consider it if you were staying at least 7 or 8 nights. You could stay at WL for your MK part of your stay (I'd recommend a BB room with inner courtyard view rather than woods view), and then move over to YC to do Epcot and DHS portion of your stay. Having bell services transfer your bags from WL to YC should be seamless although don't expect your bags to arrive at the new resort until at least 3 P.M. We've done this on several trips and have always enjoyed being able to stay at two different resorts on one trip.

You really can't go wrong at either resort...the kids will love both. They are at great ages!
