Which one with two adults and two girls 16 and 13? DOes one have balconies and one not?

All thte YC rooms have either first floor patios or balconies while only SOME of the BC rooms have balconies. You're right, though: the decor is the only difference between them, but it DOES give each hotel its own identity. The hardwood floors, nautical theme, and sober colors create a more formal air at the Yacht Club, while the pastels and surf-and-turf motifs make the BC more kid-friendly.

Which one you prefer is a matter of taste. I've stayed at both and prefer the YC - I like having a balcony all the time.

We have stayed at the BC 4 times. The first time DD was 12. It is still her favorite resort. We dine at the Yachtsman Steakhouse every trip, but have no burning desire to stay there. We would if the BC was sold out, though. We just like the pastel decor of the BC better. Of our 4 rooms, only one had the small "standing room only" balcony.

I've stayed at both and prefer the YC. The BC is a wonderful hotel but it seems noisier and more frantic there than at the YC. I like relaxation while on vacation. All the balaconies are full size at YC too and I really love that! YC is still kid-friendly (last trip - two 15 year olds and a 2 year old). It just seems not as crazy.

We have stayed at both with our 3 DD's - now 14, 11 & 11 - & we all prefer the YC. We enjoyed the BC & love to go there, but we also thought the YC was much more quiet & relaxing. We also enjoyed having the outdoor patio, which is a nice size.

We're heading back in Nov. & will be at the YC again for 2 nights before moving to OKW. DH & I are hoping to get a trip in during October & are contemplating staying at the YC then also, that's how much we enjoy it! :D

Ditto on the sentiments expressed by YCFAN and MELSMICE. The YC doesn't seem to be as hectic, and a bit more relaxing than the BC. Some people take that to be stuffiness, but it isn't.

Keep in mind if you are interested in booking, that the YC usually sells out faster for the same dates than the BC. I guess that shows that it is the more popular of the two resorts.::yes::

princess:

every room at the YC has a balcony, except for 1 standard concierge room,
at the BC, it's hit or miss with the full size balconies.

The decor of the YC is nautical elegant, and more quiet and a bit more reserved,
the BC is casual beach atmosphere and a more noisy...

the Beach Club is more popular with families with small children,

I love the Yacht Club, it is by far my favorite resort!!!!

Laura :)

I heard that there is going to be alot of construction at the YC this summer. If that's true you may want to consider that if you're going then.
